Bulbapedia Suggestions, ideas, and problems

me again..

I don't know if this is exactly needed, but i noticed that Castform's bulbapedia page is missing a Held Items section, and i know for sure that in Emerald (and in the wilds of D/P/Pt) it comes holding a Mystic Water. Could someone type up a chart thing for that? I know it's not high priority but it would add to the page's completion. And i also couldn't just add this lil tidbit to its talk page as i seem to not have enough permissions/be in the allotted user groups to edit it's discussion page.

Yourlilemogirl: You should be able to edit the talk page; there are no restrictions on that... odd... What sort of error message do you get? And we'd need the percentages for the held item info.

Is there any way to categorize the Random Page button to bring you to, say, a Random move or Pokémon?

Asked this before in the Kanto Pokemon Mansion talk page awhile ago... apparently things that I note about in talk pages are left unnoticed, so I may as well post here.

The Kanto Pokemon Mansion and Moon Stone articles says that there is one hidden inside the mansion in Red/Blue/Yellow. I have personally looked everywhere for it, and tried to use the Itemfinder but it couldn't pick up anything. Then someone on Serebii told me that the mansion's Moon Stone is exclusive to LeafGreen/FireRed.

So I asked permission if I could edit both articles to remove the bit about a Moon Stone being there in R/B/Y, when there isn't.

If you find an error, you're definitely welcome to fix it.

As it turns out, it can be found in RBY. Except it was in a 'pillar' near the entrance, and not in a pile of rubble like the article suggests.

Although this now makes me wonder if the mansion's Moon Stone's location had changed between generations. I'll have to check this. So, in case their locations are different between them, how would I edit that in?

So basically,

If the Moon Stone is in different specific locations, then just change the location description for one of them and add another for the other location?

Just as I thought, the Moon Stone locations are different between generations. Same room, but in different spots.

I guess I'll edit the Mansion article then.

What are the chances we could get Place Origins for cities, routes, locations, etc. based on the real-world counterparts? Someone's doing a video-walkthrough of New York and comparing the actual locations to the in-game designs of Unova.
Plus it'd be cool to see a blurb about, say, the Ice Path in Johto being based on the Narusawa Ice Cave near Mt. Fuji.

I'd like to suggest that the 'Unreleased Pokemon and characters' article be renamed to something like 'Prototype Pokemon and characters'.

Because it also lists Pokemon designs (and characters) who have been alerted, and therefore technically still 'released'. Prototype would be a better name for the article, as it can easily refer to both.

This probably has been suggested hundreds of times before, but I think it would be interesting to have a "Similar Pokémon" page. I know someone may say that, "Pokémon are not copies of each other, etc. There is no need to create a page like that." However, I think about like this: Pokémon are similar to the animals of our world. Many of them are similar because they may share a common ancestor, like the animals of our world, causing some of them to be similar to others.

Then again, it is just an idea and I do not feel like "campaigning" or debating in detail over it.

Those are already detailed in the Pokemon's Origin section in their own articles.

You mean like this page?

I suggest that we have question section on this forum.
Cause I have question what defines what a trainer specializes in? I knew Steven Stone was steel specialist but he had just as many rock types(well his first emerald team changed that). I assumed that was defined by show/games/mangas calling them a specialist of that type. But forgot when he was called a steel specialist(i just found the trainers eyes part proved it but it was a bit irritating) What defines the Striaton Bros as specialists (I'm sure they will have more grass fire and water types in gray but what about now). sorry to bother you.
