Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Since we're back around to who we like to see get in again, I'm still standing by the Howard twins from Astral Chain, a Tales rep, or a Touken Ranbu rep; even though the last one will never ever happen lol.

There are plenty of characters they could add that I wouldn't mind seeing:
  • Rayman
  • Spyro
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Shantae
  • Dixie Kong
  • Roll from Mega Man
  • Another Sonic Rep (Tails, Amy, Eggman, etc.)
  • Cynthia with 3 of her Pokemon rotating between each other (Of course, her Garchomp is one of them.)
If anything, I just hope it won't be yet another JRPG swordfighter. :/

I wouldn't mind another Fire Emblem character, at least if they were legit female. Lucina is an echo of Marth while Robin, Corrin, and Byleth are palette swaps for their default male versions.
While I've always been a firm supporter of having more FE characters (unpopular opinion here I know), I don't think we'll see another FE character so soon after Byleth. But if you want more female lords then hope for Eirika, Celica, Micaiah, Lyn, or Edelgard (even though Byleth already has her axe, plus some people won't like one lord from 3H getting preferential treatment). Personally though, I'd rather have Ephraim, Seliph, Leif, or Sigurd for lord suggestions; and for non-lords well that's an even longer list for me lol, but I'd be down to see Caeda, Soren, Ranulf, Seth, Lewyn, Leo, Finn, or Navarre.

Kazuya hype. My brother was really excited to see a Tekken rep in Smash, and I'm happy as well. I'm just surprised that the chat didn't know who he was, Tekken is very well known so I was shocked to see a lot of "who?" comments.

Kazuya is in Smash?

Finally, a Tekken rep.

My main criticism of Kazuya being in Smash is that he seems like he’s not going to be that distinct from Ryu or Ken. His move set looks pretty similar, and likely functions the same.
I liked that scene with Kirby, though.
Well, they have variations of the same fighting style, so...

Kazuya is not for me. I don't know the guy at all and have no connection to Tekken. I haven't bought Wave II yet, and I'm not sure I will; I no longer have a core group of people to play Smash with now that my friends are all over the place, and although I've been getting back into the game recently, I'm more than happy with the Wave I characters. This character was kind of the make it or break it for me on the pack, and if it were something more along the lines of Hollow Knight or even Crash Bandicoot, I'd be more inclined to make the purchase.

I guess we'll wait and see for the last fighter. I hope it's someone that really comes out of left field. Someone like...Waluigi, for example?

I think he'd do it.

Similar experience, haha. My brother is a huge Tekken/King of Fighters/Street Fighter fan. He had a field day with the announcement; my friends were confused. I don't know anything about most fighting games, so I had thought he was either Jin Kazama or someone from Virtua Fighter before the name splash. Maybe Heihachi would have been a more recognizable choice to those who are unfamiliar with the series?

Otherwise, I don't have much of an opinion on the new guy other than mild surprise at seeing a Tekken character dropping into Smash (and loving the volcano memes that came with). But I don't feel disappointed like I admittedly had after the Pyra/Mythra reveal. I'm glad to see that Tekken fans seem to be happy with this, though.

...I just realized the volcano meme potential.

I don't think Waluigi is going to be the last one if they were going to pick someone it'd be someone from the Resident Evil Universe
