Swinub to be the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's Community Day Classic on April 29th

Niantic has announced that the next Pokémon GO Community Day Classic event will feature the Pig Pokémon, Swinub. During this event, Swinub will be appearing more frequently in the wild, and its Shiny variant also available to be encountered. The event will be held on April 29th, between 2:00pm and 5:00pm local time.

Community Day exclusive Timed Research and Field Research will both be available during the event. Completing the various tasks for the Timed Research will award up to 4 Sinnoh Stones, while completing Field Research will award additional items including Stardust and Ultra Balls. A Community Day Special Research story: Swinub Community Day Classic will also be available for purchase at US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This Special Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

During the event, Trainers will be able to receive event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts. These strickers will also be available for purchase from the in-game shop.

The following event bonuses will also be active throughout 3-hour period:

• 3× XP for catching Pokémon
• Incense (except Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
• Trainers can receive a special surprise by taking a few in-game snapshots during the event period

Additionally, Piloswine that are evolved into Mamoswine between 2:00pm and 7:00pm local time on that day will learn the Charged Attack Ancient Power. This move has 60 power in Trainer Battles, with an Energy cost of 45, and a 10% chance to raise the user's Attack and Defense. In Gyms and in Raids, the Charged Attack has 70 power, with an Energy cost of 33, Duration of 3.5 seconds, and Damage window of 2.85-3.1 seconds.
