@lisianthus

Do we really have to ask questions for this game if we can't come up with any?
I mean, if you don't have any questions, it'd be best if you waited to answer until you could come up with some. The chain of questions is what makes the game the game, basically, so if you don't have any questions, it'd be best to wait until you can think of something please.

Hmm hmm... @Hawthorn I have just recently learned about the existence of your bird cat! Is she your only animal currently? I know you work with animals in general also so... is there a particular animal you're interested in lately? (helloooo)

hi @lisianthus!! sorry for a late reply, i've been super busy and keep falling asleep before i post.. But I'm happy you got to see my delightfully mischievous Almond! As far as pets go, I've got two dogs: Bee the aussie and Daisy the heeler mix, but sadly they won't be coming with me when I move. Al will, though!

She's really, really helped me in the time I've had her, and honestly we're both kind of glued to each other's sides now. She's actually sleeping next to me as I type this ^^

is there a particular animal you're interested in lately?
...you've opened the floodgates.
Yes yes yes yes yes!! So, I'm not sure how much context you've got, but I recently landed my dream job working with one of my all-time favorite animals - wolves! I spend my days now both learning and educating the public about them; dispelling myths about the wolf and reminding people about their importance in our ecosystems.

One of my favorite talking points is the Yellowstone reintroduction project, where in 1995 we first began relocating grey wolves from Canada to Yellowstone. The previous population had been hunted to extinction, so these reintroduced wolves were our key to healing the ecosystem and returning the natural balance which we had upended. As expected when these guys returned, everything flourished.

The plants grew stronger and more plentiful, all things from beetles to birds returned, and the populations of animals such as beavers (which were previously struggling due to the wound left by removing a keystone species, wolves, from their environment) began to double. Even the courses of rivers rerouted. And we are still seeing positive changes today, Yellowstone being a literal buffet of scientific research about the wolf and it's role in our world.

here's a before and after!

hi @Orchid! bothers you bothers you bothers you
When you're writing, do you draw from any specific inspirations? What's something you really want to capture with your style/voice when you write?

I'mma be honest, I don't know.

I'm pretty much always writing something in my spare time, just because I'm coming up with fic ideas every other day, but I actually don't read a lot (at all) anymore so I don't have a real frame of reference for inspiration or style. All I ever really hope to capture with my writing is the way the story looks and feels in my mind — which is why I gravitate more towards doing my storytelling through visual mediums, like drawing comics or making video games, since I can get a lot closer to showing exactly what I'm envisioning that way. Some kind of combination of overactive imagination and perfectionism I guess, lol.

Feels like a bit of a non-answer, but maybe that counts as an answer in and of itself? I do enjoy writing, but for these reasons I've never really thought of myself as much of a writer compared to other people...

@Sheeercold - not sure if you've answered this question before but I'm curious, what kind of music do you like? Any specific artists/bands/genres?

Apologies for being late on this. Had to think on this

Not sure honestly. I listen to a quite a variety. Pop, rock, metal and a slab of other genres here and there. In terms of artists, I haven't been that attached to a single artist's/band's full discography, but I see myself listening to a lot of Foo Fighters, Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty and Weird Al Yankovic.

@JollyYoshi Again not sure this was asked and apologies if it was, but who are your favorite human Pokémon characters?

@Hydrogenium Hi hi Hydro! I know you've asked me about my OCs here a couple times so I figured I'd return the favour! Do you have any OCs?
Hi DW!

I apologise for such a late reply - I was inactive and when I logged in again, I hadn't noticed this alert among many others, and I went offline again before noticing it. I'm sorry.

So... OCs. I have OCs. Quite a lot of them, although the majority of them are... forgotten, kind of. Just like for many people, for me, the creation of original characters is tied to making comics (or trying to? Do not get me wrong, it's not like I'm drawing a comic, but... It's the reason why I got into drawing - my "goal", you could say). I like all of my characters and there are a couple of them that are... very important to me (I'm positive that everyone, who has OCs of their own, will get what I mean!).

I used to draw my characters solely for the purpose of visually establishing their appearance, one reason for that is that it simply hasn't come to my mind to draw an artwork featuring my original character (if you don't count "a generic-looking person whose design I'm coming up with while drawing" as an OC). That you can do artwork of your OCs was something I realised upon learning about Art Fight. In retrospect, the second reason for me not drawing my characters was that I did not like their designs enough (I didn't have any OCs who I really visually liked until not so long time ago ^_^;

I would say that... designing the characters is my least favourite part? It sure is fun, however, it can get quite frustrating, too. I definitely more enjoy writing my characters. What I really enjoy is coming up with names, as I'm interested in name etymology. Despite spending a lot of time on several name websites, my characters usually end up with a somewhat common name.

@JollyYoshi. Hi!

I'd like to know more about your plush zebra! Is there any specific reason why you made its photo your avatar?

@JollyYoshi Again not sure this was asked and apologies if it was, but who are your favorite human Pokémon characters?
Very hard question to answer. Let me name off a few: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow (all four from Pokémon adventures), Professor Oak, Giovanni, Silver, Gold (Adventures), Crystal (adventures), Jasmine, Will, Karen, Norman, Winona, Wally, “The Draconid People”, Lisia, Professor Rowan, Cynthia, Cyrus, N, Ghetsis, Grimsley, Serena, Professor Kukui, Peony, Volo, Larry, Rika, Arven, Penny, and Nemona. Yeah, very long list.

@JollyYoshi. Hi!

The original profile picture is actually the same one I use for my eMail. On that same day I took the original photo for the zebra, I took photos of other animals, but I felt like they just didn’t fit me so I chose the zebra.

@Rikα (Blanc, right?) I’m under the assumption you’re somewhat of a shiny collector(?) So, do you have any shinies that have some strong sentimental value?

(Yes, it's Blanc underneath this disguise, LOL.) Hi Jolly!!
I’m under the assumption you’re somewhat of a shiny collector(?) So, do you have any shinies that have some strong sentimental value?
I am more of a collector than a battler these days, you are correct! Actually, one of my favorite pastimes in the mainline games is breeding shinies. I do have a few! All for different reasons.

My shiny Claydol is sentimental because it was the first shiny I ever caught! I was climbing Sky Pillar to reach Rayquaza in Pokemon Sapphire and happened to run into it. The next that comes to mind is my shiny Lugia, it was a gift from a friend for my birthday. Lugia is my favorite Pokemon, and my friend gave it to me knowing that so, it has a lot of heart behind it. My shiny ponyta from Soulsilver was my second self-caught shiny ever, so I love that one too! I remember being weirdly really happy about it, LOL.

And my final two I still think about are my shiny Beldum from Pokemon Y, and Axew from-- Violet! What these two have in common is that they were both shinies I hatched entirely unintentionally, I was IV breeding and those two just happened to come out shiny (The Beldum was in the first egg, even.)

All the ones I named minus the Axew are all from my teen and child years, so that definitely plays a part as well. I liked this question, thanks, Jolly!

@toastghost - Tangentially related question, (hi!) do you have an (irl) core memory attached to any Pokemon game or event? If so, what was it?

last year, our tech class was basically a complete free period, so i figured that i should play pokemon. this girl in my class was bored, saw me, and started playing too, and we actually became best friends, so that's nice

@milkshayke favorite ace attorney character and why?

hihi, thank you for the tag! while i do have a favorite, it is hard to narrow down, and in a series as varied and with as many characters as aa... i'm just gonna list my top five and my explanations
5. trucy wright. aside from being hilarious and clever, it's also incredible to me how courageous and lively she is after everything she's been through. "needless procedure" and the line about sampling free food being a religion will always live rent-free in my head.
4. klavier gavin. i relate a lot to the terror and despair that comes with finding out someone you love and trust turning out to be a terrible person and 4-4 broke my heart for him. plus he's just a funny and all-around great guy and THE ace attorney bicon as far as i'm concerned, sorry phoenix. i love his cute europhile design as well.
3. godot. i went into the series absolutely blind, and he was by far the character that intrigued me the most. he was so damn enigmatic yet suave, and how desperate i was to figure out his machinations! especially his grudge against phoenix... needless to say, once it all was revealed, i would be lying if i said i shed no tear for him. 3-5 was the only time in the series i cried. he also had a great theme, which is still infamous for how out-of-place it is in a courtroom. the only time a lawyer can cry is when it's all over </3
2. susato mikotoba. her story and character resonate a lot with me. just like her, i've been not taken seriously because of my sex before, and her studious, calm, and level-headed demeanor is such a far cry from the other assistants, she is just such a lovely breath of fresh air to me. (i like the other assistants to, except pearl, who i'm pretty neutral on) she's honestly the type of person i would love to befriend irl.
1. simon blackquill. birds? birds. i think getting falsely imprisoned for murder and then sent on death row must be one of the worst things to ever happen to someone. frankly, i never once thought throughout the entire game that he was guilty at all, yet it was still painful having to expose his lies during 5-5. plus his design and the concept of a convict prosecutor are both very cool. (and i love his manner of speech. very gundham tanaka-esque, who is my favorite danganronpa character)
shoutouts to gina, gumshoe, franzy, edgeworth, and athena, my next five in no particular order i won't give reasoning for as i've already written too much compared to what was asked of me...

@Mela i've noticed you're a science person! got any particular favorite branch or anything particularly interesting you've discovered?

Indeed, I liked all the science subjects in school since primary, took that specialisation in high school, scored rather well in the finals/admissions exams, even tried engineering university for a while (but that did not quite work out). I am not sure I have a favorite branch, what I do know is that I struggle with the more practical applications of it (I was sure I wouldn't ever pick medicine even though it was an option, and apparently engineering was not the best choice either) while loving more the theory of it. Should have gone mathematician or theoretical physicist in retrospect, but oh well...

@Claire386 what kinds of games are your favourite? (any genre)

Nintendo games like Pokemon, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem. :3 I also really enjoyed playing Undertale and Delta Rune.

@Herbizarre What's your favorite holiday?

Wh-Where did I land ? Is that how it feels to be mentionned ? :lapras:

My favorite holiday is August 15th (it's a french holiday !), which happens to be my birth date n_n

@CynthiaLover What is your favorite Pokémon from each generation ?

My favorite Mons from each Gen, eh? Let's see...

Gen 1: Tauros
Gen 2: Heracross
Gen 3: Blaziken
Gen 4: Garchomp
Gen 5: Emboar
Gen 6: Noivern
Gen 7: Kommo-o
Gen 8: Corviknight
Gen 9: Skeledirge

And as a bonus.

Hisui: Hisuian Typhlosion

@Hidden Mew Who is your favorite character from your favorite anime?

ooh, that's a tough one. If I had to choose, it would be a 3-way tie between Unleashed, 06, and Frontiers.

@Torchic W. Pip might be a bit of an obvious question but its five in the morning and I don't have a better question if you had to choose between Wallace, Steven, and WInona, who would you pick?

@Chidamari Sketch what's your favorite anime of all time?
Somewhere between Kino's Journey (2003 adaptation), Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Land of the Lustrous.

The former is a story about a traveler on a talking motorcycle who goes on a perpetual journey in a world idyllic in its imperfectness; with a fairy-tale like art style clashing with often-philosophical parables.

Madoka was part of my general identity alongside Touhou Project in this forum back then; as far back as before the shift from vBulletin to XenForo. When the avatar limit was significantly smaller (like say 128x128, I recall?); most, if not all my avatars were either sprites from Grief Syndrome or Touhou sprites (some from official Touhou fighting games, others fanmade). Also, I've said it probably like a million times so I'm compelled to just leave it laconic; my internet handle references an image boards-originating nickname for Madoka Magica.

I'm particularly fond of Lustrous enough that despite the controversial and significant shifts the manga has taken; I'm still following up the last chapters.

@Rainbow Cloud .
Any characters from Friendship is Magic that you'd think I'd like? It's not a big priority for me right now but since many of my close friends in the internet are fans of My Little Pony I'm considering watching it sometime later.

Going to name drop without giving away spoilers about their characters but from the mane 6 characters I think you'd like Twilight Sparkle, Rarity and Fluttershy, from the secondary and recurring characters think you'd also like Princess Luna, Zecora and Maud Pie :)

@BigDocFan what's your favourite episode/episodes from the Pokémon anime?
