Take Hisuian Growlithe Out to Play and explore Pokémon GO's Routes in a new in-game event starting September 27th

Niantic has announced details regarding the upcoming Out to Play event, coming to Pokémon GO from September 27th, at 10:00am to Monday, October 2nd, at 8:00pm local time. Shiny Hisuian Growlithe will be making its Pokémon GO debut as part of this event.

Event bonuses and activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:

• Kecleon will be appearing more frequently at PokéStops
• 3× XP for completing a Route
• Earn Buddy Candy faster while exploring Routes with buddy Pokémon

PokéStop Showcases for Growlithe and Hisuian Growlithe will also be running throughout the event at different PokéStops.

Timed Research
Free event-exclusive Timed Research focusing on Routes and exploring the surroundings will be available throughout the event. Players who complete these research tasks will be able to earn a selection of items, Stardust, and encounters with Hisuian Growlithe.

Between September 27th at 10:00am and October 1st, at 8:00pm local time, Trainers will be able to purchase the Tails of Adventure Timed Research in the in-game shop for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). When these research tasks are completed, Trainers will receive the following:

• Six encounters with Hisuian Growlithe
• Five encounters with Growlithe
• Two Incubators
• One Super Incubator

The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before October 2nd, at 8:00pm local time. This Timed Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

New avatar items
The Hisuian Growlithe Wig will be available to purchase from the in-game shop for 200 PokéCoins starting from this event. This item is a permanent addition to the shop.

Event bundles
A Voyager Box will be availablefrom the in-game shop during this event for 1,990 PokéCoins. This bundle contains 10 Super Incubators, 12 Incubators, and 2 Poffins. An Ultra Hatch Box bundle will also be available via the Pokémon GO Web Store, containing an unspecified number of Super Incubators. Trainers can check the official Pokémon GO Web Store website for more information about this bundle.

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:

• Arcanine (uncommon)

Eggs
Hisuian Growlithe will be hatching from 2 km and 7 km Eggs during this event, in addition to those Pokémon that are currently hatching from those Eggs. These Hisuian Growlithe will hatch as their shiny variant.
