KONNICHIWA, MINNA!

So, I was randomly thinking about my favorite part of the DS Pokémon games--not the BGM, not the kyara, not the plot--it's "Koukan Talk"!
(Koukan Talk was a TV show in some Pokemon games like DPPT/BW(2), and ORAS, and taught Japanese to the viewers! Basically it was in Japanglish, mostly English with some Japanese thrown in there.)

Azusa: OSSU, everybody!
Are you so GENKI it's causing everyone else trouble?
It's time for this week's highly anticipated “KOUKAN TALK!”
This is today's phrase:
"Where did you come from?"
This is handy! You'll want to know where your opponent is from!
If you want to say this in Japanese, it's like this!
"Doko kara kita no?"
Do-ko ka-ra kee-ta no?
After that, there's no doubt you'll have fun talking about where you're from! Yeah!
Ok, so, MATA NE! Bye-bye!

Anyways, I'll be looking to revive this segment from the games by doing my own similar Japanese/Japanglish lessons, MAINICHI, every day! (Or at least as often as I can...)

YOROSHIKU!

Today's sentence is:

最近、よいことがあったの?
Anything good happen lately? (saikin, yoi koto attano?)

You can use this if you've had a すれ違い
chance encounter (surechigai)
with a 友達
friend (tomodachi)
!

Lately, have you met with any of your friends!?

それじゃあみんな、またねぇ~!!

It became summer!! So today's lesson will be about that!

この夏、どうするつもりか?
What do you plan on doing this summer? (Kono natsu, dou suru tsumori ka?)

もちろん
Of course (mochiron)
if you live in the southern hemisphere you might NOT have any
summer (natsu)
plans! So you'd say つもりはない。。。
I don't have any plans... (tsumori wa nai...)

Either way, I hope that this summer will be a すっごく楽しい
very fun (suggoku tanoshii)
one!!

また今度みんな~!
