You do know that quoting without adding words of your own can be considered spam, right?

Well, that doesn't make sense.

What if you're having a debate and you make a statement that somebody later opposes, but then contradicts themself by not fully reading what you've typed? Then you have to quote what they've typed which is misinterpreted and then quote what you previously said (again), in hopes that they one, properly read it, two take it on board and three, don't allow you to double quote a perfectly fine and awesome, scrumdiddilyumptious post.

Edit: And honestly. Spam in a thread filled completely with nondescript posts?

Yet we have kids as young as 8, 9, 10 on these forums, but that doesn't stop anyone from swearing/vulgarity/discussing pornography, does it?

I wouldn't say I've done anything egregious, in comparison.
