I learned that the hard way with my old computer.. one day, I opened up a spam email by mistake, and about two minutes later, my computer kept opening IE saying "Your computer is trying to be protected." at the top, and "the web page could not be displayed" on the bottom. I just walked away for five minutes, came back, and at the time, I was using xp, so I had like... 29 bars of IE on the bottom that all said the same thing. I ended up just unplugging my computer and putting it away to protect it from further harm.
I turned it on the next week, and Windows had crashed.
And this computer I'm on right now has a Trojan, yet it's working perfectly fine. Isn't slow at all.
It's had it since I got it, though I can't remove it (too strong for the protector to remove it; it still blocks it from doing anything, though).
I normally use Win. 7 as well (it's on the computer downstairs), this is my school computer that runs on xp.
To be honest, I'm used to both, though I don't have a favorite between the two.
Fine, thanks. Oss we talking about?....*girlish shriek*
I'm a computer geek...~
I use Windows XP Service Pack 3, but I customized it and stuff, it works great, I love it! Windows 7 is excellent as well If i have to upgrade, I would upgrade to that, but Windows 8 is out 2012, so I guess I COULD wait., however Vista....heh, don't even get me STARTED on the hell Vista puts you through...doesn't even deserve a capital letter...vista....fixed
