Before logging on? Two hours after dinner. Before that, one hour, since I was taking a look at some short notes on one of the Literature classes.

...I realized that I don't study much. LOL
That should change next year. X_X

I literally hardly study at all.. and I still get good grades.
Except in math. XD
But since we're out of fractions now, my grades are getting better on tests and such.
I study before the PSSA's, though. Twenty minutes a day.

Lucky you, Reshriam...

I got pretty good grades compared to little studying last semester, but this time, I really got the impact I deserved. X_X
Two subjects are already low. Gah, my parents are going to kill me XD

I am hoping that they will really buy my words about improving my habits from next year.

Still, sometimes, I wish that they would do things faster. On the other hand, one day of exams can take upwards of 7.5 hours in a row.

And in another exam, there's a 4-hour gap between papers - we're even permitted to leave the whole place and go elsewhere until 10 mins before the paper starts.

It's kind of like that in college here. Depending on what courses you're taking, you'll have exams like several hours between them.
It will be like that on Monday for me. 10 am for literature...and 6pm for biology. Grrr...I just hope I make it to the classroom without any weird happenings. X_X

Once I nearly was late for physics when I dozed off in the school library.
The schedule that day
10 am to 12 pm: literature
3 pm to 5 pm: physics
5 to 7: biology

I was tired that day, so I picked one of the couches in the library and fell asleep (sitting down). I woke up at 3:02 PM. And for attendance, there are machines that you put your student ID card on for checks. I checked at the last minute, 3:09 PM, which would be the last moment that the attendance status "On time" would be given. One minute late, it would have been "late". X_X

Now that I think of it, there's a make up class between those two exams. Phew, no weird happenings. Not likely.

I was never late for class, unless you count the one time everyone was late because the school locked all the doors by mistake and no one had the keys to get into the actual school.
So, in a way, everyone that day was late.
They eventually canceled school because they couldn't get the doors unlocked, they were jammed shut.

And that's good that you got there literally a minute before it gives you "Late", right, Min?

Of course...if you are late only ONCE in a semester, that's fine. But two Lates count to an Absent or even a point off in your grade.
I am terrible at physics enough already. Didn't want to take the risk. X_X

I LOL'd at your story about locked school doors...:-D
Eventually canceled part is especially funny. ^^

@Resh: That schedule is just a class schedule. Sure, I sometimes take two or more subjects per day during exams. But not often.

The school always seemed to do that once a year. They refused to get the doors fixed, they just let it happen constantly.
My school doesn't care if you're late... as long as you don't make a habit out of it.

Same here about not caring too much about being late. Most professors, in fact, decide from the start that if the student is late/absent no more than two times per semester, they will just erase it from the record. After all, with traffic problems and weather (heavy snow, for instance), sometimes students find it hard to come to school.

My old school pretty much did the same exact thing.
All this talk of school and exams... I just got transferred to home school.

I've been home (virtual, on a computer) schooled for a while.
Are you taught by your parents, or actual teachers?

A computer program (PLATO), I've got people monitoring it to make sure everything's all in line, though.

Ffff. My school's run by incompetent staff and still has a harsh crackdown on tardiness.

My current home school is the same with not being at school for a day.
If you aren't at school one day, you'd need to take a vacation day. Since we don't have many of them (barely 16 or 17), you ALWAYS have to go to school.
So... the program itself teaches you?

And hey, Faere.
Nothing much, really.

You take a pretest and it gives you information on whatever subject (and allows you to be exempt from parts of the lesson; the better you score, the less work you have to do), then you print out some sheets of paper to show your work and hand it in (and take a final test on the subject) at the school.
