Man, if only I hadn't missed out on all my image editing lessons making other kids' photos sport distorted-as-hell faces.

Liquefy! That was my favorite word for a while when I was 12.

Yeah, I rarely use photoshop to edit any of my drawings (actually, for that matter, I hardly draw at all these days haha).

I did, however, once do an elaborate-as-hell doodle on MS Paint (pretty painstaking one, too), and everyone thought I scanned something done by hand and went over the lines with brushes, lol.

That takes some skill. I usually only use Paint as a quick-and-easy Paste destination for screencaps.

Yes, but at the moment I only really use it for coloring and shading. My skills with using it for lineart aren't exactly fantastic, so I'm still scanning hand-drawn pen work.

Just keep practicing. A lot of it is learning how to move your hand and arm muscles and getting a comfortable flow with the way the pen works. After a while, the muscle memory takes over and it gets easier, to the point of becoming second nature.

I got my tablet when I was 15, and to this date I've only used it once or twice. I think I might've lost it sometime since, now that I think about it.

Well keep in mind that just having a tablet doesn't automatically make you a better artist. If you're better at hand-drawn line work, do it. All a tablet is is another kind of pen/pencil/brush/chalk/pineapple/pencil, and needs to be mastered as such.

I was closer to 16 than I was 15 at the time ('twas December, and I'm a February-er), but yeah. I never fiddled around with it much, but I wish I had. Coloring by Photoshop confounds me my nuggets.

Edit: Now, isn't that the most convnient birthdate you have... a week away from mine.
