I didn't really EV train before, but I recently started, as I've been considering Competitive Battling.

And I don't really purposely breed for IVs; though from time to time, if I want a certain set, I will.

Yesh, theyre boring. But EVs really make quite the difference in your Pokemons strength.

^ EVs can increase the stats of Pokemon by more than 1.5 x

Ev's and natures are important, IV's are a little nitpicky. You should probably only focus on them if you really need them. Though Iv's are the only reason I've never ev trained a pokémon before. I thought the iv's were too much of a bother.

I don't normally care about either. Especially if it's my main team for the storyline, because even if your Pokemon suck, you'll still win.

Yeah, I mainly play the games to get through the story and "catch them all". That's about it.

Yeah, I don't play for the competitive battling, I just play for fun. So I don't worry about EVs/IVs

Even while playing through the main story, I sometimes EV train my Pokemon a little bit. I like them to be as strong as possible.

I also prefer decent natures. For example, I would not accept a Modest nature on my Heracross.

I usually try to make a competitive team in each game with the best possible items, ablitites, moves, etc. However, I've never paid any attention to EVs or IVs.
