I got to meet and annoy Falcon DoveOwl in person at Ohayocon. Went to her buddies' panel on D&D, and I gotta admit, it got me a little interested in the world of tabletop gaming.

It was. Tho I kinda wish there were more people I knew at the con. Walking in a sea of strangers with someone you barely know can be a little awkward.

She has some cool friends tho.

No kidding... I met a girl IRL, then proceeded to talk to her a lot on IM, and then, when we met IRL again, it was really awkward 0_o, despite knowing each other already.

Yeah, it was a little like that at first. But it was still pretty cool. I also met up with someone I hadn't seen since high school, who happened to know Falcon too. Small world.

The best part was the big fat guy walking around in a towel/toga thing.

And the guy with the GameBoy costume, with the functioning screen with a Tetris game on it.

Next year I'm totally cosplaying a Star Trek character. Probably Riker.

Dionysus?

That just sounds awesome--Tetris and Kid Icarus were my first hand-held console games =)

Yeah. There was some serious creativity in some of these cosplayers.

Oooh, there was a TF2 Healer guy with an awesome tank-hose thingy.

I could probably cosplay as Suiseiseki... with a small amount of weight loss anyways.
