This one's even better.

...Not even a body? This is going to be one of the "weird" stuff you have, right?

This is true.

I think most throat-fingering supermodels would consider that a great body.

It's just a test, I haven't done a proper walk cycle in a long time.

I wonder whether that is a proper walk cycle... It just looks so weird.

Drawing directly in Flash kinda sucks, hence the wierdness. I'll most likely draw everything in Photoshop and import it into Flash from now on.

I wonder whether you would like to draw frames one-by-one.

Only for complex actions, like a sweeping arm motion. For stuff where a character is barely moving, letting Flash Tween the movement for you is a lot easier.

Like when a character is talking, usually you draw the face without a mouth, then draw the mouths for every sound. You then switch out, say, a "ooh" sound mouth for a frame where you hear an "ooh" sound, switch out a "ff" mouth, and so on. So you don't redraw that whole face over and over again.

That would suck...

Ahh... Reusing frames. That saves a lot of work and still looks good if it's done properly.

That's the method I used for my avatar. Which itself was a little speech movement test.

You'll notice for some of the mouths that are open wider, like "ah" sounds, I drew the chin out further to emphasize it. It' a subtle difference, but I think it adds a touch of realism to the movement.

Well, there seems to be an absence of a certain ornithological piece. A headline regarding mass awareness of a certain avian variety. Have you not heard? It was my understanding that everyone had heard...
