This. I wasn't interested in JungleFurryFury at all.
lol.Power Rangers... WHEN WILL THEY MAKE USE OF CGE!?!? I would probably be obsessed with that show if the costumes didn't look like the same ones from my childhood... is that a monster!? No! It's a fast-food mascot! A really ugly one >_>
I just don't watch power rangers because it's so cliche'.
I mean really?
lol.
Half the humor is in whatever odd mashup they decide to treat seriously. As Yaku pointed out on Ryuu's VM, ala Starfish Hitler. Different series, but same crazy monster concepts XD
Perhaps, but it's mindless fun watching whatever troupe of heroes save whatever random town there is to save. After a while the cliche is just a part of it you accept and you look to whatever else the show offers.
Some seasons pull it off better than others making that 'cliche feeling' a bit more transparent by mixing it up with life issues. Or not.
You know that's ironic considering the last 5 seasons or so have been filmed in New Zealand using New Zealand actors.
Actually, I take that back. It was the previous seven seasons, starting with Ninja Storm where the series was filmed and produced in NZ. Back in 2003. That's matches up pretty well to when they stopped airing there it looks like
When Disney took over the franchise I believe the business decision was to move production to NZ because it was much much cheaper to do it there.
Some people didn't like when Disney owned them, but I'm not complaining, I loved Ninja Storm, SPD and Jungle Fury. The backdrops were gorgeous too.
I guess they didn't air them there because they didn't want the locals to catch on that they were filming in their back yards. Literally.
Everyone says New Zealand is gorgeous.
But Power Rangers was filmed in Auckland, and it's too urbanized to look good here.
The south island is much more beatiful.
You make it sound like it's overrated. I for one would love to visit sometime. :3Everyone says New Zealand is gorgeous.
Well it looks like they migrated the set a bit. There tend to be a lot of beach scenes and wilderness so I can't imagine it was Auckland exclusive.
You make it sound like it's overrated. I for one would love to visit sometime. :3
Never been to NZ, probably won't, but I knew about 3 people who were from there. All of them teachers, sadly. One was a racist scumbag, bleh.
Today I'm actually gonna study.
