@hurristat: For a moment I thought you disabled some settings or something, if the option not to view info below avatars is available.
(Or that you were just kidding around xD)

And um...3:42 AM now... D:

@Mizzle: ...reading. Really. I'm reading a book now and...MUST finish! xD

What book is it, Mintaka?

And @hurristat- Ah, okay. I see. I apologize, I didn't know.

Don't apologize, there's nothing to be sorry for -- you just didn't know :p

Perfume.
It's taken a while for me to lend it, finally. (There's only one copy translated into English...)

Yeah, you're right...I was too hasty posting a link. xP

I'm about at the climax, so I guess I'll just finish it off...
(I did read in Korean, but...for some weird reason I understand the 'mood' better when written in English. Strange.)

...about using perfumes, I don't. At least, not yet.

Hurristat 8D You are epic, just saying xD

Aw, thanks :3

You should see him in a mafia game xD

You guys flatter me too much :3

It's not rare for me to stay up... :p

Yeah, but to 4:00? That seems a bit excessive. Also, what is tomorrow like?

That is really weird. Although when you speak your second language at a perfect level, I suppose it's case-specific and dependent upon the specific book you're reading.

...it's the weekend, so I usually stay up and read books that I didn't have time to during the week. I'm used to staying up and just working as usual, as long as the following day isn't very tiring.

Mostly it's for books that were written originally by foreign authors. Or just novels. (Like, when studying, I do feel comfortable using Korean, but it's so-so.)
Like...reading Harry Potter translated in Korean is not fun. I hate the translated versions.

I'm currently reading the Witcher series. First ever low fantasy (read: gritty, grim, gruesome and such) book series I've read and I'm quite impressed so far.

Now I've to wait 'till the second game comes out, tho.

I totally understand. To read the original text is important -- translation causes lots of issues. Translators have to juggle:

- Direct translation
- Meaning
- Idioms
- Sometimes, rhythm as well.

Doing all that can be hard. For example, look at Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest. The title is a pun, and that doesn't translate into any other language.

For this reason, I attempted to read The Chronicles of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez in Spanish (we read it in literature class in english), and I thought it a lot better.

No prob, Hurristat. Sooo Hurristat, do you like ponies?

Um... not really. Sorry :p

Edit: Hey Aladar! :p

Edit: Wut, why is China only one time zone?

I've read nearly all of the Agatha Christie books last year, and so I chose to read other authors'. Or books that movies were based from. I haven't seen many movies overall, so might as well as compensate.

@hurristat: In case of Harry Potter, there were worse issues...if mistakes were among what you mentioned, I'd really understand, since I'm not a pro translator.
...but mispronounciation of names was something that really bothered me.
And yeah, humor and idioms sometimes can't be perfectly translated.

@Mizzle: ...you'll need some advertising xD
