Oh, so they have internet over there on the oil rig?

Of course! hahahaha
How could we check our e-mails (from boss and company) if there weren't computers with internet?

However, some sites like Orkut, Facebook, Twitter and Serebii are blocked by the system. Bulbapedia, suprisingly, isn't.

I just went to a rig once, this January. Each one has its own rule.
The one where I was had some computers for entertaining purposes, which could access anything. But after a week there, I found out those were only for the rig company employees to use.
I work for Petrobras, which is the biggest Brazilian oil company, and usually, all of the others work for us, we pay them to provide us rigs and men to work. that's a bit hard to understand said this shortly, but that's how it happens.

When I found that out, I had already used internet a lot, but then I stopped. It's funny, since it's like the customer receivin orders from the clerk.

But then I also found out there was wireless internet and we could take our notebooks.

EDIT: OK, PEOPLE! FOURTEEN DAYS! hahahahahahahaha I stay there 14 days and then 21 days at home

Wasn't Petrobras recently privatized?
You amaze me, Hurristat. Where are you from?

Petrobras wasn't 100% of the State. It's a mixed economy company.
At least 50% of it belongs to Brazil, so that our State is the one who will always takes decisions about it.

Last year, Petrobras sold a lot of its shares, but our govern was the one who most bought them. We became "more owners" of the company. But it did it, because it needed money to explore the pre-salt, thing, much deeper oil in the sea. It's very promising, there are large fields, but we needed some initial investment to get to it.

Well, Minimag, we can't watch porn in the computers that we use for work either.

The porn channels SHOULD only be aired in the rooms where people ARE NOT when they're working, so it's for the resting time.

Wait, channels?

So there's like, what, 5 of them?

Where I was there was just one. But each rig is different from another. There are many different companies with many different policies.
I guess we don't need more than one porn channel. They're all the same.
