I decided that it's not even worth my time, but you, of course, are entitled to enjoy any movie you desire.

It's fucking terrible. The only good thing about is the visual stuff...you could probably just watch the movie on mute and enjoy the technology.

I lost interest in it over all the hype it was getting. That's a turn-off for me with things that I don't already like.

Hmm, just watched the A-team.
It was alright.
Good fight scenes, but sometimes it's hard to follow what's going on.

Thanks.

It was a decent action movie. Not really memorable. Kind of along the lines of Independence Day. Cliche characters, predictable story, satisfying ending, and special effects.

Avatar, that is.

I can't wait to see the real Avatar soon; hopefully Shyamalan will do it justice, and the plot won't just wisk through Book 1.

Yeah, looking forward to that one also.

Furthermore, I'm also looking forward to TS3 actually :p

Oh my god, neither can I! The previews look pretty good.

Which is why I'm hoping this will turn out to be one of Shyamalan's more higher rated films, though, any good trailer for anything is done well enough to look better than the actual thing...

Last Airbender does look good, but trailers always lie.

The thing with Avatar is that it's familiar, it's comfortable, it's like other Cameron movies with simple plots, great effects, and predictable outcomes. But if you sit down to think about Avatar, you realize all those outcomes make sense. Take the thing with Turok Moktau. It makes sense for it to attack them, it being a creature of prey and all, it makes sense for Naytiri to tell the legend that all the Na'vi know, since it is her job to teach Jake the ways of the Na'vi (not to mention it ties in with what just happened to them), and it makes sense for Jake to use that since it had not only recently happened, he also now knew that riding the Last Shadow would bring the clans under his control so that he could save them.

Is it predictable? Yes. But does it make sense and fit with the story? Yes.
