One day she told me I was too naive about older things, so she forced to watch a bunch of movies that are over 20 years old.

Plus she explains Family Guy references to me that I won't get. We bond by watching Family Guy. Weird, right?

I'm just watching Trainspotting, trying to stave off my depression now that's decided to come back.

It was really bad this time. I tore and punched things. I just barely stopped myself from kicking my brother in the face. I felt justified when I was in that moment, but looking back on it... it's kinda scary to think about. I don't want to go through that again. So now I'm watching a movie about heroin addicts in Scotland, trying to lock it away.

Oh, boy, I'm such a fun conversationalist, huh?
I have no idea why you'd watch Trainspotting when your feeling so depressed. VM me if you need someone talk to :) I suffer from depression too, so I know what it's like.
I watched Pulp Fiction. Best Movie ever after the Godfather.

I'm so glad my mom forced me to watch old movies. Modern movies seem like crap now.
It's fantastic, but I wouldn't even put it in my top ten. Trainspotting, Blade Runner, Toy Story, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Casino, Goodfellas are all better, in my opinion.
Pulp Fiction isn't old at all, the way I see it. xD It all just depends on the scale we're using at the time, calling things "old", but the way I see it, movies in general are not old. I mean, if we're still in the stage where we can tell different trends in movies seemingly as every decade passes, and movies have been around for something like maybe 10 or 11 decades, then I think it really ought to be thought of as a recent trend.

Then again, that's all it's ever going to be in our life-times if we stick to that definition. And who's to say the same thing didn't happen in the days when none of us here today existed, and nobody lives to remember them? Maybe there were trends in theater or gladiator fights or African tribal dancing, and history has all kinda blurred it.

I get side-tracked easily. I'm a bit of a big thinker. :I
Fucking hell. You see kids, that's why I love this bastard.
That's deep. My mom threatened to take away my DS if I didn't watch Pulp Fiction with her. That's why I love my mom.

My mum screamed at me when I saw it for the first time, saying it'd really disturb my brother, who was 15 at the time. Interestingly Pulp Fiction is my brother's favourite film.

Everyone else's parents seem against letting their kids watch Pulp Fiction. I first saw it when I was 16.

I like embracing the really, really dark stuff when I'm depressed. It actually helps me get over it. When it's really bad like today, it just sucks the fun out of anything really enjoyable and innocent. But I do like the more dark side of things to begin with.

Well, at least someone likes what Asperger's syndrome can do to a guy. :I

Good god. You have the best mom in the freaking world. I can't relate to anybody in my family about much of anything. My brother is a prissy little bitch whom I wish would go away somehow, as much I love my mom anyway we don't really see eye-to-eye on anything, my dad is a pile of ashes, and my grandma... well, she's grandma.

Good one Jack. My mom and I can never discuss politics. Ever. She's cool in every other respect. Except that she thinks she looks 20.

I want to understand politics, I really do, but... ugh. I can understand sociology okay, but when it comes to politics specifically... I wish I could. I don't even know what it is, I just can't.

My mom looks pretty good for 50, if I say so myself

Politics is my passion. All I do is watch news, go on news websites and discuss politics with anyone who would listen. I even memorized the constitution!

Me being a legal voter, I should be able to understand politics, but I don't. Last election I can't believe I even voted and knew stuff about the candidates. Haha.

I'm guessing you're a liberal/democrat. Just a guess though.

Who did you vote for, if you don't mind sharing. As a Scot I didn't vote, but I would have voted for Obama.

Word of warning - any bullying, name calling, and all that due to political differences will not be tolerated.

I wish I could make sense of it all. I guess I'll just have to hope that the things I can do could be called skills and not just competence.

Pics. Pics. Pics.

Okay, now this is getting weird.

And also god DAMN Begby in Trainspotting is pissing me off. He's such a fucking cunt, I hope he dies at the end.

I voted for a different candidate than my mom. Actually everyone in my family. That's all I will say.

@fabfab; You guessed wrong or right. I don't want to say what I am. might cause contention. I wanna keep the mood whimsical.

No problem, I understand for many that people want to keep their political choices to themselves.

I'm not all for telling people who I vote for in elections cause of all the arguments things like that cause. But I would say my vote helped the election.

My vote went to waste in my state. My family's votes didn't that's all I'm going to say.

If you're extremely curious for some reason, you can PM me.

I'm almost done with it. About ten minutes left, not even that.

Hope you've enjoyed it :)

Just finished it. The ending compliments the rest of the movie nicely. Maybe I can form a more detailed opinion of the movie as a whole later, I'm gonna go do productive things.

Haha, I got ya. We'll just end the politics here.

Nah, no worries. It's not that important anymore, the election has been called.

Atta boy. Watch it again over the weekend, without distractions. There's so much in that film. I'll probably watch it again.
