There was a time in middle school where I got a detention like every other week. Mostly for stupid shit like talking when they declare that you're not supposed to talk, and popping a brown paper bag at lunch (I had never done it before, I had no idea it would sound just like a gun shot).
I hated those conferences in school, but thankfully, my parents were too busy to visit the school. I recall my parents visiting once during my first year in high school, and no more.
We usually had scheduled conference time for everyone whether you needed it or not. We would have off school, but it still sucked because I was always in trouble because of the conference.
My day was okay, how are you doing, @Pears; ?

My parents still care about grades and I don't find that a problem. I'm relieved that I don't need to put everyone in good humor like how it felt like in high school. Now I just need to take care of myself and no one doesn't mind.
Well, my parents would be glad if I go home for the summer with some good grades. Or well, I won't know them until I have been home for a month or so, I reckon. If I roughly end up at what I did in the autumn, I'll be satisfied.
