LeBron James is a legend.

It is like watching ballet and Basketball together.

If you count a 6'8" toddler throwing tantrums as ballet, then yeah.
He's good, he just has attitude issues.

I completely disagree, to me if a player plays that good, while taking a pay-cut and trying to create the best plays for his team does not show an attitude problem. He is not Kemp, Ben Gordon or Cousins.

I heard about that, but not much about it. Was anyone killed, or were there any casualties?

About 1,000 people were injured or something.
That's terrible! D: They didn't see the meteor coming? I thought Russia was all caught up with the technical stuff? Can you even /see/ a meteor comin'? Idek.

I think they assumed that the snow would break the fall.

No, they all just forgot to duck and cover.

Seriously though. I would have seen the giant flash and then hid in a closet or something. I'd expect a nuke to have dropped.

Well they saw a bright flash, then they had maybe a couple of minutes before the shock wave hit and broke their windows and whatnot. As for detecting it before it entered the atmosphere, we can only really watch about 2% of the sky so it's not possible to find every object, especially really small ones like this.

The fact that a 6 foot piece of rock can do that much damage worries me.

The most damage of that meteor was caused because it went through the sonic barrier.
And the most people got wounded because the explosion caused windows to shatter. No
fires or anything like that it exploded 30km above earth and it weighted 10 tons or something.

EDIT: Well that's one benefit from working from home, that you can watch the news :d.

I wonder how much damage it would have caused if it hit the earth.

Oh, I see. I overestimated our knowledge of the skies at current, I see. I thought we knew what was going on 24/7, and what dangers were heading our way. Ah well, I'm a n00b with this kinda stuff. XD;;

Seriously though, it's so tiny, but hurt so many. That's terrifying.

Nope sorry, the earth could literally be destroyed at any moment.

Apparently a meteor a kilometer long could wipe out half of civilization, or something like that. I forget the exact dimensions, but high speed boulders hurt.

If it was a huge asteroid it could do a ton of damage. Didnt that sort of thing lead to the dinosaurs going extinct or at least contribute to it?

Well, I suppose I should pack my things and head for Pluto. Wait, it's not a planet any more.

Dear Lord, seriously? That hurts to think about.
