Don't worry, me too. It's weird to think it's a whole different time of day somewhere else in the world. Hell, it's even a different date somewhere in the world. Crazy.

That date part always gets me. Like, Australia's almost a day ahead of me.

Guys..... how do you even start explaining something like this to people?

That site is AMAZING. I mean literally awe inspiring. Best fake 3D effect I've seen in ages.

Haha. But it's important now when, like, there are laws about these things. And personally, I just wouldn't be attracted to someone that young (no offense).

It's not like I was expecting you to. :I

That was more in response to Jolene than to you.

I know this conversation is a bit old but, re: advertising, I feel like I have a better attitude toward the business ever since I started watching Mad Men. Hell, that show makes me want to be a copywriter myself.

I actually have no freaking idea what Mad Men is about. I always figured it was a Mafia crime drama kind of thing.

I always just buy Wegman's brand food. It's cheap and omg the cookies are so fucking good. Chips Ahoy? Oreos? Fuck that shit. Overpriced and sub-par quality.
Cheap-brand food is always the best. I really hate Maryland cookies, but the Asda-brand ones are so good I could eat them all day. ;w; As for chips (I'm supposing you mean crisps, right?), mum always buys Walkers but I don't eat them anyway because I don't like them.

Garbage quality cookies that a lot of people buy anyway. Despicable. I will admit that the chewy ones are good, I can put away a box of them pretty quick, but the Wegmans cookies that I found are oh so much better and available at a lower cost.
I'd do anything for a box of those and fig newtons. More importantly just those. Proper chocolate chip cookies are very rare here, and I usually have to make em myself to get that American feel outta them. Imported Choco Chips do exist, but they're too expensive for just cookies.

It's about the lives of various people connected with an advertising agency in New York in the 1960s.

(A lot of it involves drinking, or sleeping with people they're not married to. But you get to see them hash out ad ideas and present them to companies, and that's a lot of fun.)

1960s? Always thought it was the 1950. Ah well, still an amazing show. The channel who bought the rights to air it here is defunct, so now no one can even air it. So pissed.

Well, it starts in the year 1960 in season one, and works its way through the decade (season 2 is 1962, season 3 is 1963 and so on). So the first couple of seasons still have a fairly 1950s feel to them.

That makes much more sense. Man I love simple pasta, little basil and olive oil with Parmesan and you're golden. Just had 2 servings of it.

I like spaghetti marinara sauce. In fact I think that's what I'm going to have for dinner tonight. I make it very spicy.

Someone mentioned an anime called Planetes in my thread about the Russian satellite being destroyed by space debris. I skimmed the wiki article on it and now I really really really want to watch it. Has anyone watched it?

You guys are making me hungry for pasta. I have marinara sauce but need to go buy some noodles.

Completely random but: It's spring break and I'm still in Boston. And I find myself missing my cats. :-(

Spicy Marinara is good, but if you want awesome sauce go for a spicy bolognese. The meat plus the spice is really worth, but of course its entirely up to if your stomach can handle it. Spicy Meat is always the codeword for a night on the toilet. :p

I bought some ground beef the other day so I'll probably use that in my spaghetti sauce. I was thinking about using it for hamburgers but I don't have enough ingredients.

So because I like hijacking conversations, does anyone else here have pets? And are you dog or cat people?

My parents have six cats. I prefer cats because they give no fucks, and whenever I have a friend with a cat, I have to pet it.

But I like dogs, too, on a case-by-case basis.
