I haven't been to therapy, but I do believe putting someone's weakness and faults out in the open from the beginning would be a good thing, and then slowly help them from when they're feeling the lowest, than telling them oh okay that's good well do this do that and you'll feel great! Would I make for a horrible therapist? Probably. But I'd prefer it if I ever go for therapy that the doc lays things down like they are, and not lie through his greedy teeth that I'm okay and its just something I can overcome.
