And for some reason, that last post reminded me of the band actually called "Them."

Anyway, I feel like if it weren't for the fact that I'm so broke and insecure, and not very far in my career, I kind of like being the age I am. Early-mid twenties is not a bad place to be. The fact that there are so many people my age I know who seem to want to grow up faster, like by getting married and shit, boggles my mind.

I don't even have a career. Apparently philosopher is no longer an accepted professional position in the working world.

The closest thing I have to a "career" right now is in writing, which basically means I'm like every other middle-class, urban twentysomething with a Bachelor's degree in an arts/humanities field.

I mean, I also write music and I'm in grad school for musicology, but the writing is my back-up to both of those things. Which says a lot, I think. I'm going to be poor for the foreseeable future. And single. And lonely.

But whatever, at least I'm not a miserable suburban high-schooler anymore? I mean, by living in Boston I basically already fulfilled my primary goal as a teen, which was "get the fuck out of Troy, Michigan and move to a big city in another state/country."

I reject a lot of friend requests on Facebook, which is weird because I always thought I'd be a push-over about it like here. Maybe it's because people who aren't your friends can still talk to you here.

More than me ;_;

I just feel like I'm such a cliche. Like I could be a Girls character, except I don't live in New York and don't get laid enough.

I think I'm The Dude from The Big Lebowski.

I've also probably reached the level of neuroticism and East-Coast urban ennui to be a character in a Woody Allen movie, and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

I could probably be a character on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

They need to make a Dora the Explorer movie directed by Quentin Tarrantino.

I think the storm has let up a bit, and my computer is running out of juice, so I'm probably gonna go home.

Talk to you soon!

See ya, Monday!

I could totally see a fifteen-minute conversation on why Boots wears boots followed by a flash-back fight scene ending with the line "I told him 'No swiping.'"

You could take a Ph.D. in something related philosophy. Chances are you'd end up teaching that on to people doing the same.

I'll do my master degree before I make any major choices of what I want to do. But before that, I have to decide what field I want to write it in, and start picking courses after that.

That's a great avvy, H-con. I'm seriously diggin' it.

Thanks. That being said, I have disabled avatars, so exactly what it is doesn't really matter to me, considering I won't be seeing it.

I'll probably enable avatars in October when X/Y launches.

It's a Muchlax wearing a very guilty face, with the acronym "BAMF!" above its head. A very fitting acronym, as well.

Visible to you or not, it made me smile; something that avvies here don't do for me very often. If it means the least, it's definitely full of quality.

Which avatar is his?

The one that says Bad Ass Mother Fucker on it.

We just had Pulp Fiction moment. Damn, I got a tear in my eye.

Oh, you misunderstand me. I knew what it was (and besides, I could just drop by my profile page if I ever forgot). Got it from a web comic.

I have them disabled because I want to see new pogeymanz in the game first.

But yeah, time to sleep I think.

Yeah, but there are still no guarantees; academic jobs are really hard to come by these days.

Also, hello again, everyone!
