I buy mp3s off of Boomkat sometimes, it's good for obscure techno :p

I don't even own a CD player anymore. I could listen to them on the computer but that's a bit pointless. I use Spotify.

I'm the complete opposite, CD player with an iPod dock. Love my stereo :D

I'm more of a CD type of guy. I still buy CDs more than I buy an MP3 on iTunes. I like CDS cause of the collectability they have and I love looking at the artist's artwork which are more personal. Plus having a physical copy of the CD is more personal to me.

Atta boy. Buying a hard to find CD is just more thrilling than having instant access to it by way of mp3.

I see what you mean. I feel that way about DVDs, i'd rather own the real thing than have the movie stored on a hard drive somewhere. I've never gotten that feeling with CDs, probably because 99% of the time they don't come with any cool stuff like DVDs do. I'd like a stereo though, since my computer speakers aren't very good. I used to be able to turn the base up but it's broken, pretty much :/

I don't want to say where I get my music from. Might cause problems.

I like having physical copies of DVDs but I hardly watch the ones I own. Some of them are really scratched up so I can't watch them and some of them I've seen a thousand times (like the first Harry Potter) I don't want to watch anymore. But it's still nice to have physical copies because it feels more personal to me.

I get the CD. YouTube is also a source I use for listening, but I get the album when I can, if I like it.

Yeah, while I've always been a CD person - and still kind of am - it's really Spotify (and in particular, Spotify Premium) that converted me to being mostly a "music on my computer and iPhone" person. Spotify is a Godsend.

Bad thing about Spotify. If there is a natural disaster and there is no internet, music goes away too.

On Spotify Premium you can access it offline. :)

And my iTunes Library is pretty extensive anyway. When I still collected CDs, I collected quite a lot. Being a musician and all.

I still have two large sets of CDs mainly from when I would see an artist I liked and buy the music.

I hardly have any CDs, just a few cheap and falling apart ones I bought when the old CD stall was in town. Now I just buy stuff of iTunes or listen to it on YouTube.

Same. I think i've got a few dishevelled ones in a cupboard somewhere. Youtube is a good way of listening to music but I prefer Spotify, although I don't use it that much anymore since I don't have a premium account and there's all sorts of drawbacks. I think i've got most of the music i'll ever want already in mp3 form.

I have a couple CDs somewhere, I never listen to them anymore. I generally listen to music on YouTube and buy it on iTunes.
