Oh, that's awesome! Congrats on securing your job! :3I got a letter today, I secured my summer job. Gotta get that money.
Also, why the fuck is it snowing.
Snow? Lucky, it's just boringly sunny here.
It's sunny here too..and boring.
What job would that be, H-Con?
Ehh, working for the city, helping old people. Basically driving around to their homes and helping them with what they need, be that washing the dishes and taking out the trash to showering them. I worked there a bit last summer and also around Christmas, so I know what it's about.
Also, I need some ideas for combat in a turn based RPG combat system that are at least somewhat okay to implement. Any ideas?
Ehh, working for the city, helping old people.
Caretaking's a good job if you're not permanently assigned to the same person.
Ummmmmm. Criticals. Damage resistance. All that basic stuff. I can be more helpful if I know what type of turn based it is, what genre, game layout, etc.
I'm trying to learn a language, so I'm basically just trying to code generic turn based RPG combat system #56436532 with magic (though I might change just that aspect) and the like. I have already implemented some ideas, and I'm working on others (like a full selection of equipment and different weapons). Only text at the moment, have yet to learn how to really implement anything visually interesting, but if I can do that later, I'd do that.
@Jack Pschitt; I found some awesome people who'd uploaded it on YouTube. But I'm usually pretty good with online streams, because I have AdBlock and that's usually where most of the viruses come from on those.
Hey there Dashie, how are you today? :3 And oh, you don't like the warm weather? I do, especially when it's so sunny that I can wear tanktop. >w>le gasp dashie is finally posting in here
hai, the weather here is actually warm and stuff. and i don't really like it to be honest but i'm just weird man. ._. hi.
Ah good. xDOh, none taken. Blogthings quizzes are mostly silly and that's why I love them. I just think that one is funny because of how much of an asshole it makes me out to be.
And I also think the way they define lust here is more correct in terms of how the Seven Deadly Sins were originally conceived. Early and medieval Christian theologians tended to see impure thoughts as bad enough on their own; you didn't actually have to be engaging in bad sexual acts to be doomed by lust.
(I took a whole class in this in undergrad. It was the aforementioned - in this thread - awesome class where we also learned about incubi/succubi and homunculi as well. Pre-modern Western attitudes about sex were really, hilariously fucked.)
but you'll always be fabLol. Just wanted a big change. Sick of being Fab now.Ghettomonk?! Where on Earth did that come from? xD
See told you.You will always be known as fab to me. It fits you so well. XD
That’s what I said!Well, you two will always be SC and Fab to me. xP I kinda wanna change my username too, but have nothing to change it to.
Other than special occasions (and in one instance, derping up and thinking the username box was the usertitle box. >>I'm never changing my username. It's part of me.
Yours is perfect when combined with your "You don't know me" usertitle. But if you do end up changing it someday, I like Cap’n Jack.Could you guys see me changing my user name? I generally don't like it when people change their user names, but sometimes I feel like mine should be a little more tasteful.
And that you did. Nice RPing. xDAnyway re: current topic: I don't change my username except to do pranks, like when we had the politician meme last year and I was Marcus Bachmann. I might change it for April Fool's Day, though. Probably to an FMA character.
I used to change my username a lot more than I do now, but I still change it quite often. And, as you can see, I just changed it. Anyone like it? :B
Your AF username was great. xDI've only changed my username twice in four years. I'm open to changing it again but it's not something i'd do lightly.
Do eeeeet.I should really watch FMA one day, I've read the first volume of the manga and that was alright.Aww no one got my stupid FMA joke.
Michael J. Fox.I've never seen Back to the Future (is that what's it's called?) but the boy in it is very attractive. uvu
I’d say “whhhaaaaa how can this be,” but I only saw them for the first time a year or two ago myself.I've never seen them either.Count me in on the plethora of people that have never seen it.I have never seen it either.I've never seen it ether, in fact I no nothing about it
Whoa really? Neat. She's a girl who's in practically every fire emblem game, and I know she's also in awakening as a playable character.
Until then you will have to live out your dream through Hotel Dusk.I wish i was a detective.
That'd be sweet.
You and me both. :dead:I really don't like coffee >.<
My favorite was 2011's, were everything was set back to 1998. But I’m biased in that was my first AF spent here.I thought last year was better. ^_^; Nothing being Pokemon-related...
This.I don't mind if people like Brotherhood better, it's just that I get the sense that a lot of the complaints people have about 2003 were not there until they had another anime to compare it to, and I think so many of the complaints really boil down to "it's not the same as the manga!" which, to me, is a really stupid reason to say 2003 is bad. Different doesn't necessarily mean bad! It's also the rushing of stuff in the beginning, and the fact that I heavily prefer the 2003 OST and, more importantly, the way they use it, and that's a big deal to me as a musicologist/composer.
There are a lot of things I like about Brotherhood, but a lot of things I strongly dislike, whereas I can't find much to criticize about 2003. Other than maybe the fact that it's so Ed/Al-centered and some of the supporting characters get less development, but I don't know if that's a "weakness" per se so much as a preference.
And that's a general gripe I have with fandom, not just FMA. I feel the same way when Harry Potter fans bitch about Prisoner of Azkaban, easily the best of the films when judged on their own merits, because it was the first one to really depart from the books rather than being the strictest-possible adaptation.
And this too, though more so because of the brothers being mopey. Al got over things pretty quickly in FMAB.One thing that did really annoy me in 2003 is how much time they spent on Al's post-Barry-the-Chopper identity crisis. Barry the Chopper and Kimblee were both characters I liked much better in Brotherhood (though, Kimblee and Archer's sexual tension was hilarious) - in fact, I freaking LOVE Brotherhood!Kimblee and I hated him in 2003.
I don't get that either. Not to say they can’t to it, I just don’t find the idea appealing for myself."Woah.. last weekend was awesome! I don't even remember it!"
I don't understand this in the slightest.
76%.
What no I won't feel special anymore if you go and let other people in ;;Well only Kakuna Matata is a member of mine so why the heck not.
I got INTP on Master Mew’s blog. You should all take the personality type quiz and say how you score. INTP for the win!
:OOOOMG YOU GUYS I JUST FOUND OUT I PASSED THE JEOPARDY! ONLINE TEST AND I'M BEING INVITED TO A REGIONAL AUDITION!
My mom loves those too! Makes my dad think she's trying to pick up pointers.(For some reason my parents love watching those shows on Investigation Discovery about murderers, especially the ones with titles like "Black Widows!" or "Dangerous Affairs!" about people who kill their significant others, so I know too much about this. My "favorite" was about this woman who had a string of dead husbands she'd killed for life insurance - did she really think no one was going to catch on? - and she killed one of them by poisoning him with anti-freeze jello. Seriously, can't make this shit up.)
Same. All I remember was a subway, a hospital, and people chasing me.The last dream that I remember was a nightmare ;__;
I've been to a few in my life, the exact number unknown. But like GBM I remember being in three. The first two were where I was a flowergirl. (loooong time ago) The last one was my brother's where I was a bridesmaid.I've been to two weddings now. This one was a lot more fancy than the first one. They are quite nice, much better than going to a funeral which is the only other time I ever go to church. I didn't have any cake which i'm still sulking about :/
Me too.I'll have to get to that when I can, right now I'm getting ready to watch Taxi Driver. I've wanted to see it for a long time. :I
