I remember in Ferbruary, they were having some sports event at my school. I was playing Pokemon as usual, but I came outside and was immediately rushed into a 7 and a half lap race. I came in dead last, but everyone was cheering for me because I participated.

I smelled blood when I was done racing.

How long were the laps anyways?

My school is training us for a duathlon, it would be a triathlon but we don't have a pool thankfully ^^;

How long is each distance of running and biking then?

I went running yesterday, and my plan was to go tomorrow as well (well, at least every second day would be the optimal, but I'm unsure to whether or not I have the time to do that)

How do you indicate to a socially-awkward person you're stuck in a room with that you don't want to talk with them, without being a rude bitch? This one girl in my seminar always wants to talk to me during breaks, if I stay behind rather than go for coffee with the others (because I'm tired or want to surf the Internet or whatever), and she always talks about things that are very high on my list of things I never want to talk about ever.

Like her diet. I would seriously rather discuss scatological midget porn than dieting.

(Also don't people realize that when they ask you about dieting that it kind of implies that you're fat? I mean, that's what I would think if not for the fact that I think I've mentioned off-handedly going to the gym a lot after this class. Even then, I can't help but wonder, because I'm insecure about my weight and just in general.)

Ask them what they like, then say you hate it. Act real douchy and dismissive. Say you don't like fish. So many options.

Well, I don't want to be mean to this person, we're in a small seminar together and she's just being nice. But I can't stand talking to her. And I seem to get dragged into friendships with these kinda people because I empathize, as a socially-awkward person myself, and can't bear to be mean at all.

I also suspect a lot of it is that she's relatively new to the U.S. and her awkwardness is due to not understanding the difference in social mores. She asks a lot of things that are kind of, not things you talk about to random acquaintances (like the diet thing).

Talk to her. She might surprise you and have many similar interests. I discoved a Swaggot who likes Pokemon. Talk, but don't tell her your number or any way to communicate with you.

It was 1500 meters, I believe.

We had usually 2 and 7 km running "tests" back at what passes as high school over here. Can't remember the 2km time, but I think the 7km time was about somewhere between 30 and 35 minutes.

I like running. Takes my mind away from stuff, especially if you're running in areas that aren't urban. I also love generally climbing up shit (not the climbing with kit, but rather up small cliffs, rocks, trees and the like) and generally moving quickly over areas that are difficult to maneuver. Gonna row around this summer and explore places.

I wish I had your sports-drive H-con. I'm much better than I was at school where I often came near last, but I doubt I could do anything like rowing, rock-climbing or cycling. I used to get so frustrated with running 'cause if I paced myself, I was told off by the teacher 'cause I was "too slow" (admittedly, I was close to the back if I did that), but going faster tired me out to the point where I came last. Our teacher never seemed to realise this, even when I brought it up.

Guess he just thought because I was of large build (not fat) and stuff, I was capable of more. He just never gave me the chance the steady myself. I would've done stuff outside of school, but he...kinda killed any liking I had for running bar sprints (always did well at these on sports days).

Well it's...different? Looks like it's base was an orange Mort Garson dress since it's very similar besides missing the buttons and having that weird cut-out on the side. I just typed in "1960's space fashion" into Google Images and some of the stuff looked like as if it would be highly embarrassing to wear anywhere, let alone in public. Head cones? Yeah, no.

Looks like a 60s style dress to me. She looks like a girl from an Austin Powers movie xD

Yeah I know it's 1960s, since that tumblr is all '60s-themed stuff.

I think it's pretty cool-looking, even if it's impractical. I like 1960s fashion. But I can't figure out if it's two pieces or one.

Looks like two pieces that connect to me.

Although, I can definitely, 100% confidently tell you that, in fact, that dress is, without a doubt, really, really weird.

Man, I'm so out of the loop with modern life that I don't know what a dash is. Like, I had an inkling it was like daily updates, but shit, I just don't keep up with this stuff.

It's the part of Tumblr where all the posts from the blogs you follow are shown.

My dash is pretty much always active and full of varied stuff, considering I follow 2,000+ blogs. Usually there's just Homestuck, Hetalia, fandoms and text posts, but occasionally I get some really cool clothing on there too that makes me drool.

My dash is mostly of other fandoms and the occasional food post.

I get food on there occasionally, but it's usually pizza or chocolate, which I don't particularly like.

I avoid these things. I don't think people care about what I do and really I don't care what people do.

That's just me.

The only way not to be rude is to talk to her. In order to get what you want you're going to have to accept some level of rudeness.
