I don't read food packets. I might occassionally glance over the nutrition values but that's as far as my interest goes.

I tend to pay as little attention to the nutrition values as possible because if it's too high it'll put me off eating the food all together.

Hi guys. Reading nutritional information is probably the least interesting conversation I've ever seen on here. I would literally rather watch you guys talk about fire emblem or some other game I've never heard of. That or watch paint dry, but paint drying can actually be pretty interesting.

So I was just thinking about the books I read in high school that weren't assigned to me in English class, and geez, it was like I was trying to make up for my total lack of a love/sex life by perverting my mind as much as possible.

Nothing wrong with that. I read smut in class in high school. Even wrote it in the back of a politics class when I was bored. Now I write it in college as part of my coursework. :)

I mean, it wasn't technically smut? Though now I read plenty of that on fanfiction.net. I wasn't comfortable enough with my sexuality at that point to read straight-up smut.

It was great literature that happened to have screwy sexual bits - a lot of which did the furthest thing from turning me on. I mean, Lolita is an incredibly tragic and disturbing story that is meant to be tragic and disturbing, and shouldn't be titillating anyone; it certainly didn't for me. Middlesex has incest. And so on.

But damn, were they all some good books. And damn, did I feel like a rebel for reading them at that age.

There's nothing wrong with reading something like that in my mind, as long as you're not too young to be reading stuff like that (American high school is 15+ right? so I think that's fine). I usually just read fantasy and adventure because that's the only stuff that really appeals to my tastes.

Most American high schools are four years, from 14-18. But a lot of this stuff I wasn't reading until I was 16 or so.

And there aren't really laws about how old you need to be to read something as long as it's seen as having "redeeming artistic value" and isn't straight-up smut, and as I said in the above bit, what I was reading definitely fell into the former category. I mean, someone who is younger than teens shouldn't be reading Lolita in my opinion, but there are no laws against it.

I've been trying (and failing) to read Lolita for seven years. I love the concept and I can recognise the obvious influence the book has had but I just don't like the writing style. One day I'm sure I'll give in and just buy the DVD; I tend to refuse to watch film versions until I've read the books.

I'm a vegetarian and I don't even like bananas that much on their own, and I imagine they'd be just awful on bread. So I couldn't disagree with you more there.
Well, to each their own, that's understandable. :3 Cheese sandwiches are pretty good too, but I get sick of them after awhile.

I like my sandwiches with apple syrup or with peanut butter.
I've never tried apple syrup and I'm allergic to peanuts, but they sound pretty yummy actually.
It is kinda sweet and sour, but if you put to much on your sandwich it is really sour.

It is also good for you iron level in your blood, no idea why that would be relevant but ow well.

Never had apple syrup. But I have had a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich once. It was good.

Apple syrup tasting sour? It's like the sweetest thing ever. Which is actually why I'm not a big fan of it. I might put it on a pancake for nostalgia's sake, I can't imagine putting it on bread x)

A sandwich without meat? What is this world coming to?

My favourite cereal box is the Frosties one.
