The last fire alarm my school had was a cover up for a bomb threat. They used it to evacuate us without causing panic. But we found out about the bomb threat anyway. So it didn't really work. But it got us out of classes for most of that day. So it wasn't all bad.

The fire alarms in my school sound like ducks. Rather sick ducks, but ducks just the same. At least it alleviates the tension a bit during any real fires. xP

Tornado drills are better because they have that odd chance of you getting to go into the girl's bathroom.

I remember a lockdown drill in middle school where my art class spent half an hour in a pitch black room. And then someone pulled out some glow sticks.

Also @TIE I love your theme. xD

Accidently setting off a fire alarm used to be my nightmare in Junior High since we played Dodgeball next to a wall with a fire alarm so I was always worried that one of our elbows was going to trip it somehow.

And thanks!

I've never actually had a lockdown drill before. The one time I would've experienced one I went home sick ten minutes before it started. I know the general idea of them though.

Sometimes I really love grad school.

I had a meeting with a professor today, and we started talking about learning languages, and I mentioned how I was nervous speaking French or German with native speakers because I'd sound stupid. He told me that "getting drunk or high" helps. He also said the best way to learn a language is to find a lover who speaks that language.

They never did lockdown drills at my school or at least none that I can remember. Dunno why.

Oh I had an actual lock out drill, but.. I think the police might have overreacted.. I mean hey, streaking isn't so bad, especially when you're drunk, because you won't remember it. xD

My school has never done a tornado drill. It's odd considering how we are located in tornado alley.

Basically, undergrads who need help with their class papers. It's through a program at my university.

It pays $16 an hour, and I'll be working about 10 hours a week. Which is not bad money. I'm very excited.
