What's Jeopardy?

*classic European's question*
I thought it was another word for chaos, a wreck, a mix up, etc ... but after doing a google search it appears it's some kind of American quiz show. I've never heard of it myself.

I was under the impression that Jeopardy was shown overseas. Boy, I feel so ignorant.

We used to have a teenage drama called Jeopardy over here. I don't remember much about it, just that it featured Scottish kids, video cameras and something about aliens.

Overseas isn't necessarily Greece. Especially, since it is a non-English-speaking country.

Maybe they show it here too, I know we have some American TV channels but I hardly ever watch them so even if they did I wouldn't know about it.

I think they had a Norwegian variant of it. That stopped airing a looong time ago if I recall, and I haven't seen it since.

25 degrees, beautiful weather. Can't have exams in the spring without wonderful, warm weather.

Wow, it has 29 seasons! I have heard about soap operas going that long, but trivia shows?! That's really something!

Yes, it has. Doctor Who, on the other hand has been going on for 50 years. Blue Peter (A british kid's show for those of you who don't know) has been going on since 1958.

My childhood's corpse kips up from its feet and screams 'I LIVE!!!' after reading this post.

Doctor who.. that had a break.

The oldest I believe is meet the press. If I remember it started in the late 40's. The only reason I remember that is because its on right now for me.
