@Jolene; The college edition of Jeopardy! isn't always easy (the teen and kids ones usually are, though). But I wasn't auditioning for the college one, since you're ineligible if you already have a Bachelor's degree, as I do. I was auditioning for regular adult Jeopardy!
But yes, everyone who was wondering what it was, it's an American trivia quiz show that has been running for a very long time (Alex Trebek wasn't even their first host, IIRC). American game shows have a lot of long-runners, though. I mean, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right have also been on as long as I can remember, and I'm pretty sure the latter dates back to the 1960s or something ridiculous like that.
Anyway, I'm a bit of a trivia buff so appearing and winning a lot on Jeopardy! has been one of my "bucket list" items for a very long time. This is actually my second time auditioning; I auditioned for the college edition back in 2008, but I spazzed a bit when talking to the people which is probably why I didn't get on. Even if you're a trivia whiz, you have to be comfortable in front of a camera. I was much more graceful and witty and peppy this time around, though. And the written quiz they gave us at the audition was much easier than I remember it being last time. So hopefully I have a shot at making it this time!
Apparently the earliest they'll call us is June, for an August taping, but we remain in their files for 18 months.
