@Jolene; The college edition of Jeopardy! isn't always easy (the teen and kids ones usually are, though). But I wasn't auditioning for the college one, since you're ineligible if you already have a Bachelor's degree, as I do. I was auditioning for regular adult Jeopardy!

But yes, everyone who was wondering what it was, it's an American trivia quiz show that has been running for a very long time (Alex Trebek wasn't even their first host, IIRC). American game shows have a lot of long-runners, though. I mean, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right have also been on as long as I can remember, and I'm pretty sure the latter dates back to the 1960s or something ridiculous like that.

Anyway, I'm a bit of a trivia buff so appearing and winning a lot on Jeopardy! has been one of my "bucket list" items for a very long time. This is actually my second time auditioning; I auditioned for the college edition back in 2008, but I spazzed a bit when talking to the people which is probably why I didn't get on. Even if you're a trivia whiz, you have to be comfortable in front of a camera. I was much more graceful and witty and peppy this time around, though. And the written quiz they gave us at the audition was much easier than I remember it being last time. So hopefully I have a shot at making it this time!

Apparently the earliest they'll call us is June, for an August taping, but we remain in their files for 18 months.

@Faye Valentine; I was about to quote you then 2 huge paragraphs appeared. Anyways, when you get on give us the exact date and time and get Alex Trebek's autograph for me.

Sorry! You know I have a habit of over-editing my posts, but I was just going through the rest of the conversation and wanted to address what other people were saying. And yes, I will let you all know exactly when it's airing, and I will get you an autograph if I can (you probably won't be the only person requesting one)!

I edit too much. Usually spelling errors.

Best of luck if you get in, Faye.

I usually edit posts at least once. It's usually because of a spelling mistake. I can spell, my brain just likes to forget that sometimes.

Particularly at 3am :/

For the record, I edited that, not Fab.

Also, @Fab; please do not edit my posts. It legitimately fucking pisses me off. Thank you.

@TheMissingno.; Sorry, I misjudged how you would have felt when I done that, I thought we would have a had a laugh about it, but clearly I was wrong.

What you guys all up to today? I'm volunteering for a bit, hopefully there will be replies here when I come home, and then I'll make dinner. Maybe curry.

I have things I have to do, boring but important things. Ugh.

I hate doing work. I'm starting to wonder if I'm just laziness personified.

I mean most of this stuff isn't particularly hard or time-consuming but still UGH.

Which type of work is such a drag?

Well, I am up for getting something productive done today. I am also considering going back to my usual sleep schedule [waking at 2am and getting to bed early]. Stuff like that.

Can't wait until next week honestly. I'll be out of the house again.

I have the same for schoolwork lately. Especially papers. Though it's also that merely thinking about a paper stresses me out so much I keep stalling it to the end. Which means it stresses me out again when I'm writing it all at the last moment which means I'll be even more stressed for it next time. Vicious circle.

I might go out later for some food. My mum was gonna make spaghetti bolognese which I haven't eaten in months, but anyway, she says since my brother is going out, there's no point in making a big meal just for us ;_;

Yup. At least I asked nicely.

You are definitely not the only one. I will do nearly anything to get out of doing work. The term "procrasturbation" comes to mind.

That's unfortunate, you will probably get it tomorrow or something though if she has the ingredients on hand.

I haven't had spaghetti bolognese in an incredibly long time, even though I like it a lot. But aw, that's too bad, CrackFox! Why don't you try making some yourself, or would it just not be the same?
