I'm not sure if the Netherlands will ever win a world cup, much less a Euro cup. Too much locker room drama with the likes of Robben and Sneijder. You do have lots of young talent coming up in all areas of the pitch though, save for goalkeeper.

My Uncle's a CPA and a partner in a firm and he loves what he does. I have another Uncle who works in the real estate division of the IRS, and I don't think he loves what he does, especially with all of this hoopla lately, though he collects excellent bonuses. I could never be in Accounting though.

Cryptography. That is something I can get into. That is a useful skill to have after a nuclear war or after a brutal dictatorship. I would much prefer literature based codes like the ones used in A series of Unfortunate Events compared to the Abyssal Ruins type.

What, like pencil and paper type ciphers? Or steganography (hiding messages in images, or the first word of every paragraph, etc)? I haven't actually read any Snicket. Was it good?

Probably the hardest handmade ciphers to crack are homophonic ciphers. There's one homophonic cipher that was sent to Edgar Allen Poe's cryptography publication in 1841 that took more than 150 years to solve. Nowadays though we can solve them in minutes with a desktop computer.

zkdecrypto, anyone?

Just odd things. I'm a bit OCD and It bugs me if a game has collectable items that I haven't found or certain bits I miss that most people wouldn't worry about. Watering berries was definitely a chore. Like picking acorns.

I'd love an axolotl. I planned to get one last year but my friend told me hers evolved into a lizard type thing. They might be too exotic for me.
We have that in common then. xD And collecting acorns made me think of collecting apricorns, which were also a pain in the butt after awhile.

Yeah, between that and a Sphynx cat, I'd rather get a Sphynx. How big is your friend's and how difficult is it to raise it?

Actually not all of them are good. I got one that was really lame throughout all supports. Most so far have been good though. The additional conversations on the scramble dlc packs are very nice as well (in some cases it allows people to talk who can't normally support).
It can't be as bad as the ones in Radiant Dawn. Also, which one are you talking about, so I know to avoid it? (Unless the stats from it are good.)

And that's neat. I'm still not sure how that works, but once I start playing it I'm sure it'll make sense.

Once I have the game I'm gonna try to visit as many bmgf'ers' town as possible, and it will be awesome :3
I was thinking of the game by itself. Playing with others easily makes those games much more fun.

Well if you just posted here more regularly there would be no need for wallposts :p
But then no more wallposts. D: At least ones made out of quotes.

What did it say?

I know nothing about it other than what popped up on Google, but it sounds interesting.

It was actually an 1840s era joke, and a pun at that. I'll go find the plaintext and copy it...

zcryp01.jpg

“It was early spring, warm and sultry glowed the afternoon. The very breezes seemed to share the delicious langour of universal nature, are laden the various and mingled perfumes of the rose and the –essaerne ?, the woodbine and its wildflower. They slowly wafted their fragrant offering to the open window where sat the lovers. The ardent sun shoot fell upon her blushing face and its gentle beauty was more like the creation of romance or the fair inspiration of a dream than the actual reality on earth. Tenderly her lover gazed upon her as the clusterous ringlets were edged ? by amorous and sportive zephyrs and when he perceived ? the rude intrusion of the sunlight he sprang to draw the curtain but softly she stayed him. ‘No, no, dear Charles,’ she softly said, ‘much rather you’ld I have a little sun than no air at all.’ “

Obviously the cryptographer made a few errors, so there are artifacts and misspells but anyways, the punchline, "Much rather you'd I have a little sun than no air at all," is just a pun of sun/son and air/heir. Kind of silly really.

@industry; Yes. His books are excellent. Read the whole series 3 times. I find Sebald Code to be quite interesting. Before Monty's death, he went to see a movie called Zombies in the Snow which used Sebald Code. Since he did not know the code, he was murdered since the secret message had a warning.

Codes like a cab driver showing you a certain picture, or a response to a cryptic phrase such as "I didn't realize this was a sad occaision" to which the correct response is "The world is quiet here".

Yeah Spain were too good last World Cup. I though Netherlands' best chance was in 1998 or something.

So far just Lucina and Gerome. Their S-support felt forced because of it.

Once you get a 3DS be sure to tell me so we can add each other :3

Please, the Netherlands had won literally every single match for that cup, including the qualifiers. It wasn't untill the finals the nerves kicked in I guess because then the Netherlands started playing like shit. It didn't have anything to do with Spain, playing the way they did in the finals they would've lost to everyone.

Too bad it's limited to four people per town including the host :/

I don't know. I've never seen it myself. When I googled them, they look pretty different. Definitely not the kind of thing you sign up for when you get an axolotl

I disagree. Spain matched up very well. Netherlands would have won if Spain shot themselves in the foot. I remember the odds were like 5-1 for Neterlands to win.

Well, thank you for the kind compliment Aura-kun.
As for philosophy and math threads?
I'd hang out at either one. Or both. Probably both.
Forgot to mention: Cryptography is the practice of communicating secretly, using codes and ciphers. For instance: Blf qfhg olhg gsv tznv.

I did have the right definition then. The cryptography stuff was the only thing I liked about The Da Vinci Code. The rest was just okay. Angels and Demons was far better.

I've just found a number five for my favorite animals. I think once I find a sixth I'm going to stop listing my favorite animals, that way it will be like I have a pokemon team. Actually maybe I'll make a pokemon team to represent my top six favorite animals...

There are a lot of cool animals, it's hard to choose. For me they have to be slightly obscure and have something special that makes them stand out.

There are indeed a lot of cool animals, I dont really think about what my favorites are I guess, I do generally like ones that are either interesting looking or can do something cool/unique.

There are probably way too many animals for me to pick just five, but if I had to choose, I'd say cats, wolves, seals, sloths and tigers. I tend to like animals that are cute or majestic, or ones that interest me by how they've adapted to their climate.

Holy crap, I found my old account. I made this account just to try and get in touch with other vets from the 1999-2000 era... geez I feel old.

My fifth favorite animal eats your fourth favorite animal :3
