I once found myself in a mirror. The minute I looked away she was gone.

I once found myself in the film O Brother Where Art Thou. Then I realized I am not John Goodman. Worst day of my life.

I once found myself with a Google search, but then I realized I'm not in the Arkansas state legislature.

Do I always have to bring up contentious issues to keep this thread going? Hold up your ends of the conversation.

I think <trending political figure> is really <adjective>, and truly knows all the solutions to <country>'s problems.

< acknowledgement of your background knowledge.>
< agrees with opinion then says something unrelated to the matter>
< catchphrase>
So, how you all feel about < trending political event>?

I feel very < political opinion> about it.
But don't you think < moderately powerful politician> is just < industry of the week>'s lap dog?
I think < trending political figure> is really < adjective>, and truly knows all the solutions to < country>'s problems.
< Critical remark about politician>! < repeat criticism loudly> < panics and then agrees that the politican has some solutions for the country's problem>

Oh come on. Don't tell me you haven't heard of <popular political figure>! They're the <adjective>est politician ever! Unlike their opposition, the horrible <rival politician>. I heard they actually SUPPORT <trendy political action>! Can you believe the gall of some people?

I, however, am a proud member of the <political party> party! So, of course, I didn't vote for them.
