Problem is, I don't want to face teams of UU/NU/whatever Pokemon, because it makes me feel like a newbie/casual player, and hardcore gamers tend to poke of them.
Only in your own head.

Competitive NU is not newbie or casual. Exactly the same amount of work goes into crafting and perfecting movesets and EV spreads as it does for high tiers. In fact, since there's a greater variety of threats in NU, one could argue that it requires even more skill to be consistently good.

I don't know where you're getting the impression that NU is looked down on, but it can't be from Smogon, which is teeming with respected NU players and create the NU tier specifically so that lower-powered Pokemon would have a chance to excel.

But I feel as if I've explained this several times already...

So even though they know that people want them to stop and they even have their own thread, people still insist on spamming Random Images with anime girls. Though I do admit it's much better now than it was even a couple of days ago.

@Bikini Miltank; It's no use trying to explain it to him, he lives in his own little world.

Who cares if they're hot. There's an anime picture thread in Land of the Rising Sun. It's annoying. I go there to see funny random pics and all I get are boring fully clothed anime chicks.

I don't buy it, because there are some Pokemon in NU who are simply too strong by NU standards, which makes me wonder why there's no Borderline 3. Plus, I've read some analysises from NU Pokemon, and they came out as negative responses to said Pokemon like Seaking. There's also the dominance of certain types/setups followed by the dominance of tanks and lightning bruisers, leaving glass cannons, fragile speedsters, and average joes to the low tiers.

What is said sorcerery?

True. Funny and interesting images are what should be posted there though.

Someone moved it to Fun and Games.

This in no way serves as a counterargument to anything I posted. I have no idea where you're going with this.

Yes, sometimes analyses can be negative. But the very fact that they exist in the first place is proof that sites like Smogon are giving said Pokemon the full competitive treatment. I've occasionally been irked by some of their reviews too, but I also have to acknowledge that my favorite Pokemon writer of all time, the Pokemon of the Day Chick, would often really go to town on Pokemon she disliked, often for totally arbitrary reasons. It was also funny as hell. So take the embellishment for what it is - artistic expression on the part of the writer - and concentrate on the nuts and bolts of the analysis.

Or don't, and resign yourself to being smacked around by Garchomp because you refuse to use a Pokemon that's ever had anything negative said about it.

All these problems I'm having with competitive play makes me want to quit Pokemon because I can't stand seeing underrated Pokemon being treated as butt monkeys.

By playing competitive Pokemon, you're basically saying that you wanna take something designed for fun cas,ual play far too seriously. And it shows.
