I've always maintained that the very idea of "grades" puts unnecessary stress on people, which hinders their mental development. Without grades, we could be more than fifty years ahead technologically.

grades are stressful, I think the best and most effective teaching comes from wen the student is taught to educate them, and not to just perform well on a standardised test.

I agree, I've never felt that grades are a fair representation of a student's ability. What if they struggle with pressure during tests? What if something comes up when they're working on a project? Grades do an alright job, but really, I'm not sure if we actually need them.

I think grades are an unhelpful, a teachers honest analysis of a students work is far more helpful than a latter or percentage.

Very true. Slackers who get great grades because they're smart will not perform well in a vigorous career, despite their high GPAs. It's just their personality.

Absolutely. Like when I'm at work I put items on eBay, when my manager looks them over and says how it can improve, that's a learning experience for me. If my manager just said 'A', I would only know that I done well, but not to what extant.

And from that learning experience I can put up junk on items on eBay, rarely with consulting my manager because I've learnt all that I need.

Hey guys. I have to eat dinner soon. Oh, and the reason I'm not on so much is because I'm having internet problems :(

Funny, when that happened it was only this site, not any other site. I was pretty un amused about that.

It wasn't because I went to places with free wi-fi and it worked fine. I just couldnt access it from my house. It was very weird.

Huh. That is pretty strange. I can't think of any reason for that, it's just one of those inconvenices.
