Good morning or good afternoon to all on the other side of the world! So does anyone else hate being unemployed, cause for 2 weeks now I got nothing to do, and its driving me nuts. Any ideas on what to do to pass the time?

I hate unemployment so much it's not even funny. There aren't a lot of jobs to apply for currently which really sucks, so I volunteer, I really wish I could find a job though.

At least you are active, if you weren't doing anything but stay in your house and look for jobs you wouldn't be as attractive to employers. That's why i volunteer (charity shop), to show that I can actually work.

I have something in the future, but its 3 weeks or so till that gets rolling. Until then its boredom city.

Volunteering isn't exactly also something I would want to do, considering how I need to buy bus tickets with money that doesn't exist.

I'm mostly devoted to my studies, but I have an assistant position at the university as well. Nets me some extra cash in addition to the student loan, which when I have payed off my rent isn't very big. My rent is about 800$, and food is pretty expensive over here as well, so that doesn't help. That said, I'm not in a bad financial situation.

I'm volunteering 12 hours a week, unemployed, living at home with my parents. not the worst of situations, but i do just want to start earning.

Personally, I'm glad I've moved out from home. Not that living home isn't ...comfortable, but I'd rather pay for myself and live somewhere else than live home. Not that everyone has the opportunity to do so, though.

Also, you know these aha moments, like when you're solving a PDE and you just figured out how to get the solution?

I'm not sure when I'll move out, when i have a stable income of course. Not sure if I'll stay in Scotland all my life.

Generally, I have no trouble waking up on my own, and caffeine just makes me feel like crap. I think it's some issue with my size or something. I'm really not all that big. xD

How tall are you? I'm 5'1, so petite haha.

I am 4'9. xDD That wouldn't be so much of a problem if I was younger, but I'm 20 now, so I've pretty much stopped growing. I've wavered between 4'9 and 4'10, but generally my height is 4'9.

It's very nice, but it can be extremely inconvenient. xD Especially when I need a chair or something to reach cups in the cabinet.
