Which is why there's an incentive to post only a little. But then you can be scrutinized for inactivity and people will suspect you have a malicious night role :/ you just have to be careful with what you say I guess.

The thing is though, certain night roles you really cant draw a lot of attention and you kinda have to lie low, things like cop, doctor, reviver, you name it. Its more difficult if you have a one shot power and you have to choose wisely who to use it on if you want to help your faction. Ive found out the hard way it really sucks to use it on the wrong person accidently.

You just have to be the person doing the accusing. When you are accusing other people, people don't like to accuse you because accusing the accusor is generally scummy. Also the mafia generally doesn't like to either accuse nor confirm people because they like to keep their mislynching options open.

That's one of the reasons why I prefer games where most of the roles are vanilla.

People make mistakes though, it's all good. I think it takes observational skills and the ability to persuade/lie to perform well, but looking back on the games I've played, luck is definitely the #1 thing.

That's my problem, I'm non-confrontational, which leads to either suspicion or just kind of hanging out :p I'll keep that in mind though.

I'm terrible at mafias on the internet.

I'm a lot better at them irl.

I just am not really confrontational, hate debating and generally dont know how to make up good strategies, but that's alright it's not for everybody.

I agree with Avarus, I like irl mafia more. I used to play it as a kid at camp and it was really fast-paced and fun. Here, it's still fun and all, but there are so many overarching debates and arguments that it can be exhausting to play (at least for me).

The only time I've played mafia IRL I was on shrooms.

Ended up in Glasgow without my shirt.

We always made up death stories for people in IRL mafia, like they would be found hanging from a tree from their toenails in the woods, or they would be found mutilated inside of a Krispy Kreme donut making machine in a factory.

Or in my case, my three friends were beaten to death by a gang of drunk Glaswegians with knifes.

Glaswegians seem like they would do something like that. I dunno why everybody thinks Edinburgh is so snobby, I liked it a lot more than Glasgow.

I found it to be pretty safe when I went there, though the pizza I had was underwhelming :<
