Re: The Bulbagarden Off-Topic Conversational Thread

I always thought Onix was just getting hurt from the water and the electricity was still not doing anything to it. "Aim for the horn" is ridiculous though. Also ghosts not being effected by psychic attacks. And like a thousand other things they did.

Blaine's Rydon vs Ash's Pikachu

Thunderbolt + Rydon's horn = Rydon's loss

WHAT KIND OF A FAIL RYDON IS THAT? It must be this one though:

Any pokemon will fail for the good of the plot when put up against Ash's hax Pikachu.

Re: The Bulbagarden Off-Topic Conversational Thread

because nobody has posted in a while and this is the off-topic thread and I really don't want to make any more threads that won't go anywhere...

I can't stand it when people express too much interest the idea of a Dark/Fighting/Psychic starter trio. I doubt Nintendo would do something like that; Psychic doesn't work at all on Dark-types, whereas Grass/Fire/Water will work, just not very well.

honestly, people need to quit getting their hopes up because I just don't see Nintendo screwing over a potential Psychic-type starter unless Dark becomes just resistant to Psychic.

... I really never will understand how some people think that could work :|

Re: The Bulbagarden Off-Topic Conversational Thread

That would be really stupid. I think it will always be grass/water/fire for the main series games. I kind of wish it wasn't grass though, because grass is my least favorite type.

I usually just choose between the water and fire starter. If I do go grass, he always ends up in the PC when I remember how useless grass pokemon are.

good to see you agree with me, because while I am pretty opinionated I hate arguing. I always fail at it no matter how valid my reasons are. >:

but Leaf Blade is an epic grass move 'kay? Leafeon, Grovyle and Roserade are awesome too D: and I like Cherrim too. Substitute/Sunny Day/Solarbeam/something works pretty well for a friend of mine who has one.

I've always wanted a fighting dark starter, but you are correct in stating it wouldn't work.

Cherrim is not very good in standard play. Though I heard he rapes in doubles.

Quoted for truth. Took my Charizard. (although it was not very high levelled)

A Cherrim bringing down a Charizard? Sounds unlikely, although it certainly could happen.

"Aim for the horn" makes even less sense when you factor in Rhydon's Lightningrod Ability.

It doesn't matter how valid your arguments are over the internet. All that matters is your endurance, and your ability to say the same things over and over with slightly different wording.
