For the record, I actually grew up with Windows 98.

Yup.

Actually had a lot of good times. Like Chip's Challenge- great fucking game. Made some awful looking Paint art too.

And that's what we had - Win 98 and dial-up  until XMas 2008.

So when I say I love Macs way, way, WAY more, it's not for nothing.

Not gonna lie, I NEVER EVER lag when I run adobe. Am I, like, the only one? I mean, back in the day I'd have like 5-10 IE6 windows open, AIM open, iTunes, AND Adobe Photoshop and even Adobe ImageReady, and my desktop, even when it had a crappy RAM ran just fine. .___. (or are you mentioning something else? lol I'm tired(
Wow. ._.

I took a class and learned Illustrator, and it took fo-o-o-orever to boot up and on occasion some time to save, too.

I want to learn Photoshop, though. I kind of like using the GIMP stuff those Linux guys put out but oftentimes I find myself unable to do something due to not knowing the procedure or software limitations. But it is pretty cool...

Illustrator is a little on the slow side, but it doesn't take forever to boot up. .__. I mean, it used to take me at most 5 minutes for photoshop, but that's cause I had a buttload of brushes and patterns loaded into it and didn't empty out the list when I finished like I should.

And photoshop > GIMP. Period, end of story. Even photoshop 5 is better than GIMP. I run 7.0, used to run 6.0, but my friend runs 6.0 (we gave her the disc actually xD since we don't use it) and is never going back.

Not gonna lie though, I know photoshop 7 like the back of my hand, and illustrator like the bottom of my foot. I understand both, just Photoshop (7) a lot better. I had to use illustrator for my CG class, so I understand it, but like I said. It's like the bottom of my foot understand in comparison to the back of my hand. xD If that makes sense.

going to bed now though. night.

Never used GIMP, but I'll take your word for it.
Also, g'night.

Of course Photoshop's better than GIMP (what do you expect, one's developed by an army of professionals and the other by a few hobbyists in their spare time).

What I'm complaining about is the distinct increase in load times viz. cost. I.e. the more expensive something is, the longer it takes to load. Why?

Firefox and Linux are community projects made by hobbyists who write their code a 3AM, and are very high quality products.

I'm writing a story that's due tomorrow. :(

It can be a maximum of 10 pages though. :3

Photoshop is fantastic. I do hate the load times though, as they're really annoying when I'm in a rush. :|

Otherwise, it's fine.

[Also, I don't like Google Chrome. It just feels weird ... I don't know why. xD]
