meh, I feel lame now. I did something wrong and looked like an idiot. and as an artist on a site for art, that looks really bad.

... at least someone fixed it and told me, I guess. :/

Congratulations to mijzy, who won the New Years draw. And to the other winners as well.

(Though I do believe the chance for winning in this one was higher, as fewer people did post in it)

Babe. Artists make mistakes, it's a part of the circle of...um, art. As a singer, I make mistakes ALL the time. The fact you can admit you made the error is a sign of a matured artist and that gives me a lot of respect for you. Cheer up, buttercup!

Silly and untrue to say! I think it's wonderful. Art is never a mistake (unless someone really, really sucks) but everyone on here is outstanding. :)

That's why I don't show people my oil paintings. A medium I've truly learned to hate... Seriously, have you ever tried oil painting? Pain in the ass...

The bulky tackle box, the canvasses, and it's really bad in a class if I only need an hour to get part of it done but I have to sit there for three more hours acting like I'm painting. (My animator's speed was such an ironic disadvantage.)

Ohgosh. All this art stuff seems ridiculous. What's your favorite form of art then? :)

Drawing. Just drawing. Pencils and paper be the tools of my trade, as well as brushes. Usually cartoons, but I love experimenting too. Realistic, abstract, and everything inbetween. Looking back at a lot of my old work, I'm impressed how much I like to think outside the box, most of the time.

Sounds like my kind of art :) I wish I could actually draw though. Do you ever do charcoal? I adore charcoal. <3

It's actually a lot of fun, but I never really do it outside of class. Messy stuff. I love the way it looks when you shade with it.

I bet! I used to write messages to be on rocks in parks with charcoal ahahaha that's just about my entire experience with it.

It's so wonderful :) I also really like pastel...

Pastel is nice, tho the paper's kinda pricey. It makes nice looking stuff.

When I lived in Israel, it was like what the -cool- kids did...lmfao. Everyone had pastels all the time...it sounds so ridiculous now that I think of it but...I love how soft and puffy the colors come out. :)

I like pastels and charcoal too, but I generally don't work in those mediums because of the mess factor. Generally, I use markers, colored pencils and pens. Oil painting, I've never tried, but I occasionally dabble in acyrlics and watercolor and the results are good-ish, but I really like watercolor pencils. I do computer stuff too. Mainly oekaki stuff, but sometimes I'll digitally color stuff I did on paper. Generally, I use a tablet for that.
