Most of the languages can't be translated, unless you're reading one of the books that has an alien speaking in an alien language, and C-3PO translating.
It's really quite simple. I have in front of me a Star Wars book. In it, C-3PO is translating what a Jawa is saying. Thus, I can speak a few words in the Jawa language.
