Re: The Bulbagarden Off-Topic Conversational Thread

It does suck.
I went and hurt a kid with disabilites (he needed a zimmerframe) because he was being a right ass (he was name-calling, punching me and crushing my foot with his zimmerframe), so I retaliated with a punch in the stomach.

You do not wanna know how much trouble I got in just because the idiot was disbabled.
[And if you must know, I feel no sympathy for him. I don't care if he's disabled, he should be able to know wtf he's doing]

Yeah, if you retaliate you're fucked. The kid who started it likely won't get in trouble, wheelchair or not.

On a kind of related note, there was a kid who got stabbed on campus earlier this year. Apparently it was a black kid who made fun of a white kid's hat. After making fun of it, he started walking away, but the hat kid decided to make something of it and started throwing punches. The black kid just stabbed him and ran away. He got in mad trouble, the white kid didn't get shit.

Re: The Bulbagarden Off-Topic Conversational Thread

Stabbing's WAY more serious than punches. Mainly because it's easily fatal, and that whatever he stabbed the other dude with was probably not allowed at school, and most likely illegal, unless he's 18. That's the legal age for carrying a knife, though not many people follow that.

One of them being me. I own two, although I only carry one. And the blade is only 2 1/2 inches long or something anyways. My other one is around 3. xD

It can also be considered a hit-and-run since the guy ran away.

Re: The Bulbagarden Off-Topic Conversational Thread

I go to college. Campus is very large, and there aren't nearly as many restrictions as high school.

If I thought I was physically threatened, I would have done the same. I usually don't carry a knife though (I carry a pocket knife, but it's very small and only useful as a tool), so I'm not really sure what I would have done. Actually I just wouldn't have made fun of a kid's hat in the first place.

Either way, it was completely stupid. It definitely would have been better for him if he didn't run away though.

Well, it's still illegal either way to carry a knife unless you're 18, high school or college. He's probably at least 18 though.
The only places I DON'T carry my knife are during school hours and airports due to security.

I woulda made fun of the kid's hat if it was for North Carolina, because I'm a Duke fan. It wouldn't have been like a "Hey! That hat's so ugly it even insults your mother!" type of thing, it just woulda been a "Hey. Duke's better." End of discussion. And that's not even making fun of it, it's just simple rivalry fun.

This is why I do/ now teach boxing. In a serious fight, which is going to be more helpful, skilled hands or a knife?

The answers a knife. The big thing I teach is dodging. If you're good at dodging, then your opponent is screwed. If he can't hit you, you've got him there.

Nah. That's what a shotgun's for. I prefer 20 guage, even though 12 guage is stronger. Less kickback = more time for me to recover and run from the police. xD
