I don't know. Saying "brung" for "brought" in my mind is like saying "swimt" for "swam" or "swum" (as in "I swimt across the river") or "hoke" for "hiked" (as in "We hoke really far yesterday").

If "teach" becomes "taught", why doesn't "preach" become "praught"? >_>

If "Mice" is the plural of "Mouse" why don't "Hice" is the plural of "House"?

That's one of the reasons I love english... and it's not my mother tongue.

So, you're learning it, like me?

However, I don't find it too difficult because ,in school, English is my favorite subject...
Yup, I learn it as a foreign language. xD

BACK ON THE LANGUAGE DISCUSSION...

English is the language I've known all my life, but to people who have spoken, say, Spanish all their life, all of the f**ked up rules would probably drive them mad.

I personally want to learn Japanese though. Just because I like the language.

OMG. *high fives*

As said on Pointlessness and Randomness, I HAVE to learn Italian for these main reasons:

1. I didn't know we could switch this year.
2. I would need to learn the basic alphabet, well most of them at least.
3. We have the option of LOTE next year but after 7 boring eons of Italian I've decided to ditch it for Home Ec.

Oh, and my mum said that it's not worth it cause I'm near to fluent in Italian (so she says) and that I won't be able to process much Japanese anyway since I already basically know three languages. >_>

I wanna learn Japanese... D= ... they get to watch anime and eat awesome food... especially Ramen. bawg, I'm sad now. =[

CNN sucks. They have two channels that I know of and I swear, one is only election coverage and money, and the other is "These people got killed. Those people got killed. X more troops died today in XYZ City, Iraq. These people got screwed over. Some more people died in this place. Look at these people get robbed! :D Some other guy died." + the occasional celebrity news (likely "X died," "X got arrested," "X and Y are having a baby!", or "secks scandal yay").

High five. I'm actually studying Japanese too. Not going too fast, but I'm getting somewhere. ^_^ I think it's fun to learn.

I, for some reason, disagree.
I speak portuguese, that's my mother tongue and belive me: english is an easy-to-learn language. Spanish and Portuguese have the same origin (Latin) and your rules are way easier than ours, since, for example adjectives are the same for every case (ex: a beautiful man, a beautiful woman, two beautiful men, two beautiful women) however, in latin languages adjectives change according to the genre (if it's male or female) and number of the subject (singular or plural).
Besides, I think it's way more difficult for a english speaker to learn portuguese/spanish/french/italian than a portuguese/spanish/french/italian speaker trying to learn enlglish... Compared to latin languages, english has a less complex grammar.

Yeah. Ramen's great! Can't blame Naruto for liking it so much. Did you know that Naruto is named afer a Ramen topping?

There's also sushi. Yummy.
