So what? As long as it's big with the foreigners, it's big.

I already explained why that isn't true with like three examples. I could list them again, but I'd only be repeating myself.

I suspect that many natural born Netherlandites are not as pure as you believe them to be either anyway.

Let me reply to that, with statistics. Statistics are your friend when backing up or refuting claims.

(1997-1999) "The figures for cannabis use among the general population reveal the same pictures. The Netherlands does not differ greatly from other European countries. In contrast, a comparison with the US shows a striking difference in this area: 32.9% of Americans aged 12 and above have experience with cannabis and 5.1% have used in the past month. These figures are twice as high as those in the Netherlands."

Source: Netherlands Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Drug Policy in the Netherlands: Progress Report September 1997-September 1999, (The Hague: Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, November 1999), pp. 7-8.

The Netherlands Compared With The United States | Drug War Facts

BAM.

I don't understand your point. This source says that people smoke weed in Amsterdam.

Actually this appears to be for all of the Netherlands instead of just Amsterdam, which even further proves my point since the statistics are washed out by all of the Netherlands that isn't Amsterdam, and yet it still says 17% in 2001.

I think you'd laugh your ass off if you were to hear me trying to pronounce those XD Although I could ask my neighbor, who is from the Netherlands.

Well, this part:

The figures for cannabis use among the general population reveal the same pictures. The Netherlands does not differ greatly from other European countries.

That proves exactly my point. Weed is no bigger in Amsterdam than anywhere else in Europe or the US.

All of the Netherlands includes Amsterdam. Also, what exactly does it prove? You're trying the high drug use in Amsterdam and the low drug use in the Netherlands together create the 17%, right? Then you're actually claiming drug use in the rest of the Netherlands is actually much lower than the rest of Europe too, right? Either way, good luck finding the statistics to back it up.

Aww, that sucks :/
Are any of your professors crazy? Mine certainly was.

Not anyone I can think of. There's still quite a few left, and I haven't had that many different courses yet, so we'll see.
Do you plan on taking more than a Bachelor?

Okay, well my point was actually that marijuana is not exclusively a U.S. thing, so I'm still right. It can still be "big in Amsterdam" even if more people don't smoke it there.

Mash avocado with some lime or lemon juice to keep it from browning.

Add chopped onion, tomato, garlic (optional), cilantro, jalapeno/serrano peppers (optional)

Mix it together, add salt (could also add pepper). Taste, and if it needs more of any of the previous shit, add more and taste again.

The one thing I am awesome at making. Also belgian waffles.

McQueenie:
who are you referring to?

@H-con
I need to figure that out XD If I were to do a research track with the goal of teaching/doing research at a university, I'd need to go for a PhD. If I wanted to work in industry, a Masters is better.

I was under the influence that you needed more than a bachelor to really get going with a PhD. Oh well, it doesn't really matter. I've been playing with the thought as well, but it's way too early to even really consider it.

It's kind of hard to explain, but I'll try XD
Some schools have you do Bachelor's --> Masters --> Doctorate
Other schools have you do Bachelor's ----------------> Doctorate

Both take the same amount of time and work and in the second case, you're earning the equivalent of a Masters along the way.

I see. It would be that the doctorate takes longer time. Makes sense. I've been used to hearing about the first model.
