I really doubt one day would cut it, to be frank. Some days are more popular than others, and with holidays and things like that influencing the average users spare time and habits. In addition, external events concerning pokémon could also influence the activity, which requires correction. It's been a rather quiet period in those terms, but with the possible revealing of a new (main series) game in December, I think activity can increase. Also, a Christmas contest (like last year), can also influence activity in general.

If more users did count at various times (the times could of course then be calculated to different timezones) over time, it would create a broader image.

Just my thoughts on the issue though. While it's certainly an interesting theory, I think it also varies by day and time of year, in addition to external and internal events regarding pokémon and the site.

Good point, around the period schools usually have exams/finals, activity decreases.
We'd need to conduct the experiment during...'usual' days. And at least a week, for each day during the week.

Yeah. It's a young theory, and it's yet to be proven, and there's a lot of factors that influences it.

@Mintaka: Yeah, it's also really cold here, but it's different. 3 days ago, the day was humid and not very cold. Now it's freezing cold, and I had to wear 4 layers the whole day and 5 layers in the nighttime.

I wore a turtleneck sweater (sort of thin, but anyway), a hoodie over that, and a coat over all that to school. -_-

My school is located at a rather windy area.

I had need for that back when we went somewhere years ago.

Scrafty?

@Twiggy : The hoodie was light blue colored. :p

Though I do have a thick scarf that's green with a slight yellow shimmer.

*arrives*

Our school's placed a ban on hoodies. Something about good impressions, apparently.

What bad impressions come from hoodies? o_O

Well, apparently there are no such rules here... Like half of the students are wearing them... XD

Oh your silly dress codes. The only dress-code now is just to wear a lab coat and goggles when in labs that require that. Not that I'm taking those courses at the moment.

Now it's freezing cold, and I had to wear 4 layers the whole day and 5 layers in the nighttime.

Wearing too many layers work against it's purpose, depending on how thick they are. Even when we were sleeping out in the snow last year in our sleeping bags, it was rarely more than one layer, and even then, that wasn't necessarily a good thing, as it made you sweaty (and thus more cold).

You don't live in Britain. If you're a British teenager and you're wearing a hoodie, then there's a 100% CHANCE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO STAB SOMEONE TO DEATH. BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THE MEDIA SAYS AND THE MEDIA IS ALWAYS RIGHT.

I'm almost always in extra clothing in the last few years at school. Why? It's too cold.
