Only a lot of video games don't immediatly cut to the chase of the game. Take most RPG's or Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.

Well, neither do books. The first chapter is always usually introduction.
True. But speeddating books doesn't make sense either. For books you read a summary (and/or the back of the book), and for video games you check a trailer/gameplay video or play a demo.
