I liked the concept of Synchro summoning that came with 5Ds. ._.
(Riding/Speed Duels too, but meh, I'm down with that.)

I don't find Zexal interesting though.

I don't really like the concept of duel runners (the motorcycles)...

I mean, holding your card while speeding at 200 mph, the card will just fly away ._.

Yeah, frankly sometimes it is funny when thinking about those facts. XD
And sometimes when the duelist turns his head around, I'm thinking 'Uh, you're driving...I wouldn't look at the person behind you for THAT long".

...the concept is still awesome, though.

And there's also the duel board, which is dueling on skateboards. I find that really... amusing. I mean, what if you turn your head around, and you suddenly hit a rock or something and you fall down? :p

I don't care for Synchro Summon - I just think the cards look pretty.

LOL
Luciano summons his key monster, but his duel board hits a rock...that'd ruin the awesome atmosphere.

@Seto Kaiba ; Basically you'd need a Tuner monster and other monsters to add to the summon. The levels of the monsters (Tuners and others used in the summon) would need to equal the level of the monster you're trying to summon.
I bet Nelthy can explain better though. ._.

In depth explanation:

First of all, there is a new type of monster called "tuner" monsters. Those monsters, when combined with a non tuner monster, can be sent to the graveyard to perform a "synchro" summon equal to the total level of the tuner monster and the non tuner monster. When synchro monsters' summon are negated, they cannot be summoned back from the graveyard (eg. If you use solemn judgment on say, stardust dragon, it cannot be summoned back). Also, synchro monsters cannot be special summoned if they are not properly summoned. If you use starlight road, stardust dragon cannot come back. Synchro monsters are stored in the extra deck, where you put fusion monsters and exceed monsters. Synchro monsters also have their summoning restrictions. For example, Trishula - Dragon of the Ice Barrier requires 1 tuner monster + 2 or more non tuner monsters. They can be more complicated, such as XX-Saber Gottoms - 1 tuner earth monster + 1 or more earth monster (ironically, the only synchro monster that can be summoned using more than 1 tuner).

A synchro summon counts as a 'special summon'. Thus, you can perform any number of synchro summons during a turn.

Synchro monsters have their background colored white. They are used mainly in 5Ds, then they're basically gone.

So basically, just adding the amount of stars of those monsters, when combined with a non tuner monster equal to the "synchro" monster.

So for example - If it says 1 tuner + 1 or more non tuner monsters, then it means only 1 tuner.

Yeah. Pretty neat.

Now we have Xyz monsters, which basically, you stack at least 2 of the same level monsters together to summon a big monster from your extra deck.

You can summon Xyz monsters by stacking at least 2 same level monsters on top of each other. Xyz monsters usually have effects that remove 1 'xyz material monsters'. The monsters used as Xyz monster material are stacked on the bottom of the xyz monster. When xyz material monsters are removed from the xyz monsters, they are directly sent to the graveyard. Xyz monsters are stored in the extra deck and their background is black.

Also, xyz monsters do not have 'levels'. They are numbered in 'rank'. If a xyz monster requires 2 level 4 monsters, then it is considered rank 4.

That's basically it.

That newest method of summoning, it's hard to understand for me. <<

Synchro summoning was so easy to understand. (As well as the limits and traps that could work against it and why.)

Let me get this.

XYZ monsters do not have levels.

They have a system called Ranks. So for example 2 Level-4 monster can XYZ to a Rank-4.

Oh yes, note that xyz monsters lose whatever material they have when they are sent to the graveyard, or have their effects negated.

@Mintaka: What, why? Xyz monsters are so easy to understand: just think of it as stacking 2 or more monsters. Look how much I explained for synchro monsters compared to xyz monsters >_>

@Seto Kaiba: Yup. That's right. Take note that no. 34 Terror Bite requires 3 level 3 monsters, but it's rank 3. It's the level of the monsters used that matters.

@Nælþarion ; When I read the explanation on Wiki, it was confusing, especially the 'stacking' part. @_@

But I get a better grasp of the idea now. XD

Fusion monsters are the easiest to explain. You just have to activate a spell that fuses 2 monsters together to summon a fusion monster from your hand/deck/graveyard whatever the fusion card says.

I'd say ritual summoning is the hardest to explain >_>

Okeydokey, sir.

Are you having good progress learning all these new mechanics? You'll have to invest into these for your company. :3c

New mechanics? Spare me. This is more simpler then summoning my Blue-Eyes. And investing on motorcycles is a waste. As the dropped of financial cash inflow has decrease by 25% in the last several months of the shares.

@Seto Kaiba: Yup. That's right. Take note that no. 34 Terror Bite requires 3 level 3 monsters, but it's rank 3. It's the level of the monsters used that matters.

How about rank - 5?
