Eh, I kept looking down. I was 9 after all.

I used to want to Snowboard....yet I already skateboard at the time. I do neither now.

It has been quite a while since I last went skiing.

Ouch, hope it's nothing serious, H-con. 0_o

I don't remember falling or getting injured while skiing, but then, I didn't ski aggressively. I stayed in the beginner's slopes. They were fun enough for me, and I once tried the intermediate level but at a certain hill, it was steep and I was scared. XD

You'd think that somehow crashing down the side of a mountain in, what, 40-50 km/h would do a tad more damage than it did, but I do wear a helmet, which probably saved me from a concussion. Not only was my skis adjusted for a (very much) lighter person, but the edges were quite dull, and in a newly prepped course, that's not a good thing. Losing control of your outer ski in a turn is pretty easy, at least when the slope is as steep as it was

The split second when I was going downhill with one ski, all that came to mind was "well, fuck it". My thumb still hurts a bit, but it's nothing serious (though I initially feared I had broken it).

I have a real need for speed... I really want to visit the Alps again.

I have not taken part in those activities, but I hear they're fun.

It's a lot of fun once you've gotten the hold of things. I also like cross country, but I'd take my carving skis and head to the slopes if I could. It's usually easier to go for a nice cross country trip though.

There is not much I know off that can live up to the rush of really just blasting downhill in high speed in steep slopes. It's really awesome.

I've heard that water skiing is more difficult than snow skiing.

Snow skating difficult at first, but you'll get used to the slippy surface and I prefer rollerskating.

But I hate the danger factors of ice/snow skating.

The primary danger in ice skating is falling on the ice. The chance of falling depends on the roughness of the ice. An additional danger of falling is injury caused by the skater's own metal blades or those of other skaters.
The second, and more serious, danger is falling through the ice into the freezing water underneath when skating outdoors on a frozen body of water.

I get the feeling that every blog in this series besides the first one is going to be completely ignored. ¬_¬

Added a link in my signature that's probably going to do nothing.

Meh, you should have seen our bus ride home today. A bus full of tired, hung over students, and the bus driver has the radio on public radio, which sends a church service... (luckily it didn't last too long)

Also, you should have seen our hut when we wake up. The place was pretty trashed. All first graders had to have a party at their huts once (being three of them for three days), and we were last. Great.

Hi everyone.

I'm frightened at the thought of getting Facebook Timeline because I'll end up seeing the unbearable things I posted three years ago.
