Not at the two shcools that I want to go to. So I'll just do com. College for two years and transfer after those
I did that (community college for my first two years and then transferred to a four year). Saved quite a bit of money :)

Yep. I am getting a job at a gas station until I got some money to go.

And my English grades were always good, but my math grades were terrible. I failed both Algebra classes once, and had to retake them later.

I did great in choir fer some reason. Maybe because it was a freshman class, and I somewhat tried?

All my other classes were average, besides my Ecology grade.

Only my last semester's scores in high school were pretty decent, due to some of the students already being accepted in college and hence not caring much about their exams. Some didn't even take their last exams. Math (calculus) and chemistry grades were still pretty bad though. -_-;

I think so, about the choir class, @Ino-Chan. In those classes, effort can count big.
When there was sports dance for first semester of final year, I practiced a lot with my partner so that we'd get one of the few A's. XD

It was Beginner's Choir, so I don't think it will help later in life, seeing as I am not very good at singing.

On my schedule under "Elective Class" I wrote "Easy Class" on there, and that is how I was in it.

Trust me, being out of school isn't great. Not that I've been for long periods (just my year in the army, if that counts). When you get to a university, you'll see.

Maybe. I dunno, I just really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really despise school.

The military must not have been fun as it is.

Well, I guess the military can be fun. If you're paid a better wage than we got. And got to shoot more varied weaponry than we did. Etc, etc.

It wasn't too bad really, at least not for me, but I'd rather be in school.

Well, perhaps at the moment. It'll get better, hopefully.

Dammit. I can't figure out what I've wrong with my integral...

Trying to find the areal of the area bounded by r = 1-cos(theta) and r = 1 (inside the cardioid and outside the circle). The integral is easy, just (1-cos(theta))^2, (3*theta/2-2sin(theta)+sin(2*theta)/4). However, when using the angles pi/3 and 5pi/3 (intersection between the circle and the cardioid, cos(theta) = 1/2) and subtracting half the area of the circle, pi/2 I get a rather weird answer compared to the answer, 2+pi/4. I'm still a bit puzzled about how I'm supposed to get that.

I may have made a mistake, I do believe I'm using the correct formula (integral from alpha to beta of (f(theta))^2 dtheta)

Edit.
Never mind, for some strange reason, I got the intersect wrong. No wonder I got the wrong answer. The intersect was +-pi/2

Yes, now it works. How stupid of me.

Fun stuff. What year are you?

Second semester (aka first year). I just hate it when I make one bad conclusion and do everything right except some wrong numbers.

I haven't decided whether I want to take a Master degree in math or physics yet. Have to decide during this semester...

Oh well, you can't feel worse than me, sitting with something for some time, not knowing what you've done wrong only to figure out the error was something you didn't even think off.

It's impossible to suck at math, math is just following directions.

I almost changed my major to math after my second year, but the idea of being able to say "I'm a rocket scientist" was just too tempting.

Just curios, how many years are a typical major? It's not a term in use here, so I'm just curios. I'm going to take my Master and I'll see where I'll go from there. The plan is to be a teacher, I'm following that program at the moment anyways.
