The Bulbagarden Journey - Kanto signup thread

Ok, so I better let you know what's happened.

1. Bulbagarden the Movie 2000 has been replaced with a game/anime parody fic, "The Bulbagarden Journey - Kanto Edition"

2. Since this fanfic will require a big cast, I've created this thread to fill up some of the slots.

3. The Bulbagarden Journey - Kanto Edition may possibly be a Bulbagarden Library exclusive. Or it may not, depends.

4. As the slots are filled, the names will be edited out to keep it a surprise.

Post with your wanted character, second wanted character, and teams, if you are a Pokemon trainer/Gym Leader/E4/etc. Also, to keep with the Kanto theme, all teams must be from the original 151.

Also, Gym Leaders can use one Pokemon that is not their usual type, like the Pewter leader having Butterfree. For the E4, they only require 2 Pokemon of their specified type. The other 4 can be anything else.

Also, I have a question. What type of role will the Copycat play in this story? If it's an interesting role, I might want to play her as well. XD

You can use a legendary, but no insane stuff like Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mew and Mewtwo.

And the Copycat only gets a mention in one chapter, also.

The Magikarp Salesman (Saleswoman?) gets a nice amount of mentions. (READ - Sales)

Prologue – In the beginning

Archaic looked up as a young male entered his office, carrying heaps of paperwork which he plunked down on the lush redwood desk ad then gently laid a pen on top.

“Ok, sir, the top ten pages are the health insurance claims, the next five after that are the costs for the stomach pump and the last twenty are for the Regional Supreme Court for emotional trauma.”

The young male continued on, ignoring the glare.

“So if you could sign them in that order, then we can put this whole thing behind us. Amazing, really. I mean, stuffing up that recipe. It was very long and complicated though.”

“IT WAS FOR FRIED RICE, YOU IDIOT! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET THE RICE AND FRY IT! HOW HARD IS IT?”

“Well, the oven wasn't working, so I just put 'em in the toaster for about half an hour. Then I noticed the kitchen was on fire and black smoke was pouring out of the toaster. So I sent out Abra to try to put out the fire, then I realised you'd be as mad as hell and fled.”

Meowth lept off Archaic's lap as he stood up, glaring at the Rocket standing in front of him.

“AND THEN YOU SERVED THE RICE TO US!”

“Well... a stomach pump would be a unique experience, I suppose. It would give you a chance to bond with the nurse?”

The girl standing next to Archaic glared at Eevee1 for that last comment, which Archaic noticed, especially when the pen in her hand snapped, letting ink fall onto the timber floor.

“Ok... anyway, I'll take the cost of the stomach pump out of your wages. And also, you've got a new partner for your new mission. Kasumi, can you go get her, please?”

Kasumi silently left, but not before throwing one end of the pen at Eevee1, which narrowly missed and lodged itself into the oak wall with a solid “thunk”.

Eevee1 shuffled his feet around, nervously, before speaking again.

“So... captured any rare Pokemon lately?”

“We've caught a few, like that Pikachu for example. And an Oddish that is said to be able to sing. Oh, and I have to tell you something as well. The uniform department can't get anything in that's small enough for you in the men's size for at least two weeks, so I hope you have the legs to pull off a skirt.”

“I don't know, I've never pulled off a skirt with my legs before, sir. I usually prefer to stay out of the hospital ward then be practically thrown into it.”

There was a short pause filled up by the fact that Archaic's Meowth was climbing up the wall and onto the ceiling, before letting out a loud meow and scratching away at the wood.

Archaic and Eevee1 watched as Meowth crawled across the ceiling before hanging off the door, which was promptly slammed open by Kasumi who had another girl with her.

There was another pause before Eevee1 turned back to Archaic as the girl bent down and quickly shoved something into her purse.

“So who is she, anyway? And what's the mission?”

The Rocket boss stood up, pulling down a large diagram of Kanto.

“Right, your mission is to roam Kanto stealing rare Pokemon. I'm interested in the following Pokemon numbers. 1, 4, 7, 14, 26, 45...”

Archaic made to continue but was interrupted by Kasumi jumping up and screaming “BINGO!”

“Moving along, we need to outfit Team Rocket with better Pokemon and sexier uniforms. The better we do, the more properties we can buy up in Kanto, like the Celadon City MegaMart.”

Archaic was again interrupted by both Kasumi and the other girl suddenly standing together, with smiles on their faces.

“When your about to drop”
“And your shoes go pop”
“Stop by the Celadon Shoe Shop”

“ANYWAY, we need more Pokemon and more stealing. Report in with any updates.”

“My name's RubyMoon! I'm the best sniper in the whole of Team Rocket.”

Archaic waited a moment before continuing after the next interruption.

“Right, RubyMoon, meet Eevee1, the worst cook in Team Rocket. Eevee1, meet RubyMoon, the best sniper in Team Rocket.”

“I'm the best sniper in all of Team Rocket!”

“I heard. When do we set off to Kanto, anyway?”

Kasumi replied this time, with a very simple line.

“We're going to hijack the Magnet Train. Then we put you on, along with an escort who have to get to Celadon City. We drop you off at Pallet Town, so you should be able to catch some rare Pokemon.”

“Wouldn't it be easier to trail a new trainer, wait for him or her to become powerful and then snag their Pokemon?”

“Yes, but this way you can get more Pokemon. Now, we head off at 1800 hours, JST, which is 1830 hours KNT.”

There was a short pause then Kasumi motioned for them to go as Archaic started looking for Meowth.

“I'm the best sniper in all of Team Rocket!”

“SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT BEING THE BEST SNIPER!”

There was the crack of a gun and the smell of gunpowder, before a scream broke through the silence.

“RUN LIKE HELL, YOU SHOT THE DELIVERY MAN!”

“Ok, RubyMoon, when's the next train coming?”

“Let me see,” RubyMoon said, looking at the timetable while standing on a platform, the rest of the Rocket escort catching up behind them. “Here we go. “The high-speed Johto Goldenrod Magnet Train can go at speeds of 600 kph and can do the journey from Goldenrod to Saffron in only 2 hours. It passes along here twice a day, the next train being due in 15 minutes.” Is that alright?”

“Ok, so we need a Ground Pokemon to cut the power, or an Electric Pokemon to drain it.” Eevee1 said thoughtfully, before throwing out a Pokeball which burst open to reveal a small floating Pokemon.

“Also, Eevee1, the Magnet Train creates a strong magnetic field which has been known to draw Magnemite and Magneton to it.”

“Right, we'll attack it this way. Magnemite will... uh... Hm... ok... BLOW THE TRACKS, MEN!”

“But blowing up the tracks won't do any good!”

“From past experience, one explosion a chapter keeps the guys reading. SO BLOW THE TRACKS, MEN!”

RubyMoon threw herself down as the tracks erupted behind her in a firey explosion, leaving a cloud of smoke where the tracks used to be.

She got up, ignoring the claps and cheers from the Rocket escort and stared as the Magnet Train roared past, before the train suddenly leapt over the destroyed track, causing Magnemite to be drawn to it with a loud clang.

What was worse was the fact that Eevee1 had been polishing Magnemite at the time.

RubyMoon lept after him, catching him on the foot, and was dragged off as well, before being grabbed on the foot by another one of the Rockets.

The Magnet Train roared through the countryside, with 17 screaming Rockets holding onto a Magnemite which was vainly trying to detach itself from the magnetic field.

Finally, Eevee1 got his hand loose, and vainly attempted to recall Magnemite, but the red retraction laser kept missing, bouncing harmlessly off the train..

Then suddenly he hit the ground, the trail of Rockets behind him.

He struggled to his feet, staring off past the tracks before turning to face RubyMoon.

“So, are we heading to Pallet, then?”

“Yeah, we are. The boss wants us to grab some starter Pokemon and hopefully the good doctor himself.”
