I can't be the only one who's written out most of a sign-up for a roleplaying forum game before having to "retire" them for some reason, be it realizing that I won't have the time commitment or long-term interest to see the game through, or perhaps that that the game never really even got off the ground. This has left me with quite a few character sign-ups over the years that have either been stowed away in a notepad document or simply lost to the winds. I figured that this would be as good of a place as any to post what remains of their sign-ups. I encourage others to do the same here - we may even be able to draw from one another's ideas and use them to inspire future characters.

Here's what sparked this, a mostly complete sign-up that I made before Trebloome Academy before remembering that I'm already involved in a University-based RPG (KPU):

Character Name: Thomas William Harrison, Jr.
Gender: Male
Role: Student
Age: 17
Appearance: Tom is a more than a bit lanky at 5'10", with little muscular development and longer-than-average limbs. He has a sturdy face with hazel eyes, a strong jaw and full eyebrows. His viridian-green hair tends to be a bit longer than is typical for males, enough to fall in front of his eyes when not properly cared for and flare out behind his neck. This is not obvious, as he keeps his appearances up and thus has his hair properly combed a vast majority of the time. He requires thin, ovular glasses to see properly and can be noticed to try and grow a Van Dyke beard roughly once per month, though he has yet to succeed. Tom's typical attire consists of tan pants, a white shirt and brown shoes, usually accompanied by a brown vest and all taken very good care of. He may wear this differently depending on the day, such as rolling up his sleeves, unbuttoning the top half of his shirt, or adding a tie or jacket, though his clothing tends to vary little beyond that during weekdays, to the point where it can be logically assumed that he has several copies of the same set of clothes. On the weekends, he tones this down to sneakers, jeans and plaid shirts, though this is little change. He carries his Pokéballs on his belt, as is standard, is equipped with a very recent model of Pokégear and carries a brown leather messenger bag.

History: Thomas was born to a father of the same name and his mother, Sharon, though she died two short years later after when in childbirth with his younger sister, Abigail. He has never harbored any particular dislike for his sister over this matter, or hatred toward his father for his busy work schedule. Though gone often to work in the engineering of the Battle Frontier facilities, his father managed to send more than enough back to the home to support the siblings and the housemaid. Thomas appreciated this, but still has always longed for a real mother. He was friends with Emily Jacobsen, the daughter of a well-to-do property owner, from a very young age, and the two were rivals of a sort when they went on the traditional league challenge in their preteen years. Despite reaching the first round of the finals in that year's league cup, he returned to the Resort Area, where he continued with his schooling and spent a few summers acting as a referee in the nearby Battle Frontier. He recently received an invitation to Trebloome Academy, and has set off to the location without realizing that the Pokéball containing his Escavalier had become mixed up with one containing Emily's Pokéball. This section may require expansion.

Personality: Thomas has become utterly disenchanted by the notion of wealth, instead having a strong sense of family, for what he has of it, and is always willing to make new comrades. He has a strong drive for self-improvement, convincing himself that he must earn a spot near the top of his class, though he sometimes can overlook the fact that others have put in similar effort to himself. Thomas seems to have had a bit of a crush on Emily in the past, though he insists that he is past that stage. Insert more personality here.

Pokémon:

Species: Buneary
Nickname: Jenelle/"Jen"
Gender: Female
Age: Late adolescence
Appearance: Jen appears to have no particular variations from the common appearance of a Buneary, though she seems to be a fair bit bigger than most indexes claim for the species (specifically, 58cm as opposed to the standard 40cm).

History: Jen was born in Eterna Forest, and there she lived for the early years of her life. She was captured a few years ago by a female trainer by the name of Emily Jacobsen, who was just starting out at the time. Though Jen initially harbored malcontent about being taken from her home, she grew quickly to be fond of Emily and her quiet, pleasant demeanor. Their time on the road was cut short just as Emily was leaving Veilstone City, as she was overcome by a pack of Houndour. Though the pair escaped, Emily was left with savage bites and burns on her legs, confining her to a wheelchair for the next several months. Needless to say, their journey was over. Emily returned to her home in the Resort Area of the Battle Zone, and the two have since lived comparatively slow lives. As Thomas, a childhood friend of hers, was set to join enroll in Trebloome Academy, Jen's Pokéball was accidentally swapped with the ball containing Thomas's Escavalier. It was only after Thomas had finished traveling most of the way to the Academy that anybody noticed the swap, and for now, Jen is stuck in her current situation.

Personality: Jen is, put simply, rude. She is unhappy with being separated from her "real" trainer, has little respect for Thomas (who she thinks is only after Emily's affections), and generally does not play well with others. She has little to no interest in anybody else's opinion of her, which allows her to be straightforward to the point of bluntness in her interactions with others. Despite her recent years being spent in the more sheltered Resort Area, Jen has had managed to keep her skill up, making her still a strong opponent today. Due to Emily's opinion of her Buneary form as "terribly cute," Jen has no intention of evolving. Her favorite move appears to be Ice Punch.

Species: Gallade
Nickname: Corinth
Gender: Male
Age: Approaching middle years
Appearance: Corinth appears to have no particular variations from the common appearance of a Gallade. As can be expected, he carries several scars along the edges of his arms from previous battles.
History: Corinth was born in captivity and given to Tom as his first Pokémon. Insert wacky adventures here.

Personality: Corinth is the sensible one of the group, prepared to talk Thomas out of stupid ideas or prevent Jen from lashing out. Due to his nature, he is fiercely protective of Tom and his team, and has a strong sense of duty and respect. He is a capable battler and favors cutting moves. Insert more personality here.

Theme Song: Guns & Roses [Paradise Lunch]
